Dr. Bahu explores the theme of quiet control hidden behind progressive appearances. In a respected family of doctors, their youngest non-doctor son is married to a doctor—adding another accomplished daughter-in-law to a household where women are not allowed to work.
When the youngest daughter-in-law enters this world, she begins to challenge the unspoken rules, subtly shifting power and exposing buried hypocrisies.

Doctor Bahu Episode 7 Written Update and Review
Toxic Abba
Okay, that was a surprise. I came to see toxic Abba and Abba surprised me. I think, in this short seven-episode run, Shahnawaz did something good for the first time, as in something that we all can agree that he did good. For him, he’s always right. What he did was to support Mina. How? Let me tell you. That’s what I’m here for.
The scene begins with Farheen watching some show. Shahnawaz asks why she’s so interested in the show suddenly, to which she replies: I’m going on for an interview. In typical Shahnawaz style, reprimand and insults come Farheen’s way. Of the many things he said, one that stuck was:
Shahnawaz: You can’t run the house. Can’t you manage the clinic without Mina?
But… I’m getting ahead of myself.
Mina comes to ask about Faizan, that she is unable to reach him, and that he left hospital early. Our toxic Abba directly calls Dr Ambar and asks about Faizan. She refuses that she knows anything about Faizan. Then, Shahnawaz asks Mina to attend the management meetings for a couple of months. Remember, this guy doesn’t want Mina to practice what she specializes in (Gynaecology) and doesn’t want her to be a part of management, but just because he wasn’t on-board with Ambar’s selection, he has flipped. Whatever his motives are, I liked how he took Mina’s side for once.
So, Mina is to attend the management meetings, worrying Farheen and her concern: how will I manage without Mina, and the aforementioned taunt.
The Other Woman
Right, so next morning, Faizan isn’t too thrilled to learn that Mina is going to join them at the hospital. In the hospital, Ambar and Faizan argue. Maine tumhein dhoka nahin diya and all… (more to come, but posting right away because sometimes I lose my drafts. Please come back and read again. This review is going to be long.).
Toxic Saasu maa
Yep, there’s that.
Farheen is… Well… Let’s just she is not much different than Shahnawaz. Make tea for Salman, don’t let him sleep in some other room, why don’t you know where is Salman, you should make dinner because that’s how it’s supposed to be. Arey, bhai, maaro mujhe maaro.
And our heroine. How does she handle it? Calling her mother and snapping at her. If we have to get married and do things at sasural, bachpan se niwale bana kar kyu khilate ho?
Sis, because at least you would be grateful for the things parents do for their kids. Sure, parents may not be right to ask of too much from their kids like Salman’s, but what Sania is doing is also unfair. She snaps at her parents every chance she gets and doesn’t stop from taunting then: aapki wajah se shaadi ki. Har waqt rona dhona. She’s such a rondu FMC.
The Couple
Salman is spending a lot of time and effort in wooing Sania, like it, especially since it loops in Saeeda and her worldly wisdom.
Half of the episode was just a very long montage of Salman being nice to Sania, doing sweet things for her. And her being a party pooper. I didn’t like the matka chai scene. Chai order ki, aayi lekin pi nahin. Chai ke sath yeh nainsafi? Qat’yi nahin.
I like Salman’s intent but I don’t have to agree with his actions; his words, to be precise. He’s like, I liked someone else and wanted to marry her, abba ne karne nahin di, I’m a nakaam ashiq and so won’t be a good husband. I don’t even know if I’m still in love with Faryal. I don’t like Sania but she doesn’t deserve to hear all that, especially when you’re trying to be nice to hear, trynna get to know her better, “apne rishte ko evaluate karte hain”, and all. Not wiking this couple.

Shabana Mukhtar
Thanks again for the review. Even i liked shahnawad in that moment but i realised heis using mina to get rid of amber. While i like that sqlman is trying to woo sania, i am kind of disappointed with the shows dialogues. Like u cant marry a woman and say that u dont know if you still have feelings for ur ex despite the ex now married. Or a nakaam ashiq can not be a good husband. I means what does it mean? And saniya, i get that the kids in the subcontinent are made to focus solely on studies beacuse its not easy fighting for limited resources but not being able to cook anything really surprised me.
You’re not planning on reviewing sirf shabana?
Oh, I haven’t gotten to do the married couple section, lunch and then family time and then some guests etc. Yes, I do have a problem with this couple.
Sirf Shabana is on the way. These days, there’s generally a gap between me watching the drama and then finding time to review it. Muamma Episodes are pending, sirf Shabana episodes are pending. Hopefully, Sunday will give me some time to finish that backlog.
