Meray Humnasheen

Meray Humnasheen is a mesmerizing narrative encapsulating the struggle between aspiring dreams, hopes and greed for power.

Khajista is a smart, intelligent girl who belongs to a conservative and traditional family that hails from mountainous areas. Her passion to become a doctor stems from her childhood trauma when she lost her mother early on in life. To revolutionize healthcare services, Khajista is filled with hopes and dreams. On the other hand, Khajista’s cousin Darakhzai is a hot-headed and arrogant man whose backward thinking makes him insecure about Khajista’s higher studies and wishes to keep her under his control.

Coming from an educated and well-off family, Hadi is in his final year of medical school and his composed demeanour makes him highly likeable amongst his batch mates. Studying in the same college, Khajista and Hadi’s first encounter leaves them with mixed feelings for each other.

In a dream of becoming a doctor, will Khajista be able to overcome all the challenges? With constant pressure from her family particularly Darakhzai, will Khajista be able to fulfil her dreams or will she remain caught in the dilemma of love and dreams?

Meray Humnasheen Episode 05 Written Update and Review

Amroz Khan to rescue Khajista, AGAIN

Since Darakhzai has demanded for a nikaah before Khajista goes for her studies, Daji and Moray are both considering it, like seriously. Khajista doesn’t want that (I don’t understand her reason, though). She vows to keep her feet grounded and come back without any scar on their izzat, but still… It is Amroz Khan yet again who speaks for Khajista.

“She has sworn on her father. She will keep her oath. Let her go,” Amroz Khan says.

I feel for Shanzay. Her hatred for Khajista is not unfound. That’s double negative but you know what I mean. If a husband gives so much attention to a female cousin, jealousy is inevitable. But Shanzay is taking it out the wrong way. I can’t commend or endorse that.

Darakhzai is quite a drama king

He slits his palm to make Khajista stop. She still goes to the city, but this scene serves a purpose. We see just how passionate he is about Khajista. With glassy eyes, he vows to bring Khajista back to the mountains.

Ahsan Khan, very well done.

Hassan’s facade of being nice

Hadi sees Hassan in his room, dark and smokey for some reason. Hassan says that he is sorry about not working hard for the entrance test. He wants to be a good doctor like his parents. He doesn’t feel good about taking admission on a reciprocal seat (it is a seat for people in villages or something, something that Shahryar had bought perhaps for this reason alone). He confesses his love for his brother and hugs him. Only then we see that Hassan doesn’t mean a single word. Super nice acting by Haris Waheed. Bhai chha gaye tussi. Kya kamaal acting hai…

Sobia might not want Aima to marry Hadi

Hear me out, I have a theory.

Sobia is here to talk about things. While the initial meeting goes alright, she is shocked to see how their mornings are hurried and about patients and bleeding and surgeries. She wants to talk about Aima and Hadi but who has the time? I think she will realize that Hadi and his family might not be the best fit for Aima.

Oh, and let’s welcome Seemi Pasha as Sobia.

And another theory

It is going to be a love pentagon. Darakhzai, Khajista, Hadi, Aima and Hassan. Hassan will be after Khajista. Whether it is just to avenge Hadi for no apparent reason or he really will fall for Khajista, that I’m not sure of. But I think this is how it is going to be.

Review

This episode was just wow. We saw a little bit of past, of why Shanzay hates Khajista with so much passion, we see the story progressing steadily.

But this episode is mostly enjoyable for its performances. Syed Jibran and Momina’s quiet chemistry sets the screen on fire 🔥. At the same time, Ahsan and Hiba also make for a good couple. Darakhzai and Khajista might not be nice to each other but they care for each other.

As for others, everyone is just perfect. If they had mellowed the accents, it would have been more enjoyable.

Lastly, Syed Jibran, seriously, you’re too good as Amroz Khan. I ship Khajista with him. Anyone? No? Just me then.

So long!
