Jafaa | Cast and Characters

“Jafaa” unfolds as an elusive tale of love, sacrifice, and resilience against the odds. In the backdrop of familial expectations and societal pressures, the drama delves into the lives of two cousins, Zara and Andaleeb, whose destinies take unexpected turns as they submit to the institution of marriage. Andaleeb finds herself bound to a man much older than her, robbed of the love she once cherished, while Zara grapples with the tumultuous temperament of her husband. In the midst of turmoil and adversity will love conquer all? or fate has other plans in store?

Cast and Characters

Mawra Hussain as Dr Zara

One of the best gynaecologists. I LOOOOOOOOOOVE her. Of late, Mawra’s choices are so on-point. It breaks my heart to see her suffer at the hands of (often) shitty men-Hassan in Sabaat, Murad in , but boy is she perfect in these roles. She’s one-third of the reason we’re watching this drama, alright.

Usman Mukhtar as Dr Numair

An Oncologist who is sick of his mother trying to fix him up. The exasperated expression on his face are so perfect. I loved him even in Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thhay. I can’t not watch him. He’s the second one-third of the reason we’re watching this drama.

Mohib Mirza as Hassan

A man with complex mind and tumultuous temperament. I know he would be a problematic character but I am so excited to watch him. Mohib has always been a fav. And he has lost so much weight, I think he looks the part. You guessed it right. He’s the last one-third of the reason we’re watching this drama.

Sehar Khan as Andleeb aka Deebu aka Andy

Zara’s cousin, in a relationship with Moiz. I don’t want to talk about her much, but I have to because I need to prove that my dislike for her is not baseless.

Nadia Afgan as Sadia aka Lado aunty

Andleeb’s mother

Nauman Masood

Andleeb’s overbearing father. Wait till you find out what your daughter is upto, and you will have atime of your life.

Leyla Zuberi

Numair’s mother

Anam Ahmed as Maria

Numair’s sister

Zarar Tipu Khan as Moiz

Farah Hussain

Zara’s mother

Azra Mansoor

Hassan’s dadi

Shirin Zahid
