Drama Preview: Ranjha Ranjha Kardi – Finale

Thirteen reasons why you should watch Ranjha Ranjha Kardi

1.A stellar cast

There are limited number of characters and some have limited number of scenes. Irrespective of that, every single character is played by actors who are just right for the part. I even feel the roles were tailor made for them.

Imran Ashraf as Bhola is an epic performance, but others are not far behind.

Iqra Aziz plays the headstrong girl who wants to earn respect and love depicts her emotions so beautifully. At one point you hate her, the next moment her vulnerability makes your eyes water.

2.Social issue

  1. Taboo around mental illness
  2. Superstitious beliefs and faith towards a human instead of Allah are WRONG. The Sufi’s,
  3. Hilariousrib ticklinghumour that will leave you entertained for hours.
  4. Theheart warmingromance
  5. The beautiful depiction of relationships

Be it the cute and platonic relation between Komal and Bhola or the banters between Rizwana and Fehmeeda, Rizwana’s nagging Nusrat or Nusrat’s fake obedience towards Fehmeeda… It

It will break your heart, make you ponder about small things, warm your heart and make you go awnnn.

You will be heartbroken, you will cry your eyes out. The story is toned down for the heartache.

In the story, Noori was the bad guy and does everything imaginable to gain what she wants. That character trait is moved to Sahir.

Here, Noori is shown as that woman who is determined to save her family and the people who gave her what she most desired – a home, a family, respect. She is the master-planner who was always one step ahead of Nusrat and Sahir.

Despite being the strongest characters, she cries all the time. What is it with TV dramas and their obsession with crying women? Iqra did a terrific job. But Noori should not have been such a cry baby.

Gulabo poisons Tipu. Nusrat poisons Bhola; it was all pretty ugly.

So, that’s my two cents on the drama. How do others like it?
