Drama Review | Laapata | Episode 2

Let’s watch and review the second episode.

Laapta Episode 2 written update

I like that Khursheed is a man of principles. He doesn’t want to do Sohail’s sifarish for a job to his old employers.

Shams continues to steal from his father and gets drawn much deeper into the gambling game. We also learn that Hameed was also very similar to Shams when he was young.

Gaiti tries to blackmail Falak and Shams but it falls back as Falak and Shams tell their parents instead. That whole scene was super bland and full of overacting. Both set of parents are happy, but Faryal isn’t. Sohail has lost his job and Faryal’s first concern is financial stability.

Khursheed says no to the proposal, and also gives his reasons. I think it was fair. Any father would want only the best for his kid.

Will the three families part ways now? Some bitterness is inevitable, talking from personal experience, wink wink…

What I don’t understand is the how the scene was captured. Why were they all standing. Bhai, baith ke bhi baat kar sakte thhe na? The whole scene looked more like a confrontation and less like a conversation. I think it was supposed to be the latter, so…

Alright, let the rant begin now.

Gaiti is too loud. She’s a tiktoker but she sounds like Geet from Jab We Met. Too effing loud and annoying. If she doesn’t change in the next couple of episodes, I might be tempted to dump this one from my list.

Also, why have they tanned the handsome Ali Rehman? He still looks good, but… We could have seen him in his real self, no?

Sara is nothing compared to Meeral in Sabaat, her last performance that I watched. She’s talented but it doesn’t hit you the way teaser had. I guess I’ll have to wait for more.

This drama gives a daldal vibe? Anyone else?

Alright, off to review Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay’s first episode.
