Mere Humsafar Episode 40 Written Update & Review

So, the episode begins as Shah Jahan reminiscing

This episode was all about closure.

Sameen and Sofia apologize to Haala for their earlier behaviour.

Rumi hugs her mother just before rukhsati.

Sameen meets Khurram to forgive him, but she isn’t willing to marry Khurram. After a long and weepy conversation, Khurram promises to wait for Sameen until she comes back after her studies. So, there is hope after all.

Now, for the big and final closure…

Hamza is taking Haala and their daughter to Australia where he has gotten a job. That is the final nail in the coffin that forces Shah Jahan to rethink her stance.

And finally Shah Jahan apologizes to Haala. She blames her grudges against Rifat Begum for the behaviour she had with Haala. Seriously? What wrong did Rifat Begum did? If she was a little bitter towards Shah Jahan, that doesn’t mean she takes it out on someone else, right?

Long story short, Haala tells Hamza that she can’t leave her elders alone. Very emotional…

And they live happily ever after.

Like really happy…

While the performances in this drama were on par with any other hit drama, the storyline was just so bleh. 

I have a lot to say about this drama but for now, let’s just say that I am happy it ended on 40 episodes just as I had anticipated.  For more rant, I will probably post later. This should do for now.
