Fairy Tale Episode 8 Written Update & Review
It’s Shabana Mukhtar back with another recap and review of the latest episode. And let me tell you, episode 8 was a rollercoaster of emotions, with plenty of drama, laughter, and some serious side-eye from Farjad.
The File Fiasco
The episode kicks off with Ummeed getting some good news from the bank. Her cheque has cleared, and she’s ecstatic. So, what does she do? She starts dancing around the living room like nobody’s business. Farjad is workingBut, as luck would have it, things turn worse. Farjad is working in the living room and Umeed ends up spilling water all over Farjad’s important file. And not just any file, but a file he’s been working on for weeks! Whoopsie! And then wipes it clean, ruining Farjad’s effort.
Naturally, Farjad is furious. I mean, who wouldn’t be? But, being the gentleman that he is, he takes Ummeed home because he can’t tolerate the nuisance girl in his home. Only to find that nobody’s there to answer the door. Farjad might be strict but he’s also kind, so he can’t leave Ummeed on the streets. So, after some funny conversations and a few well-placed dramatic pauses, Farjad decides to forgive Ummeed and take her back, TO HOME.
Now, let me just take a moment to give a shoutout to Hamza, who absolutely nailed that whole sequence. I mean, the guy’s got talent, what can I say?
Of course, the drama doesn’t end there.

The Misunderstanding
Ummeed gets another text from the same number (hint: AK). She thinks it’s Farjad. A loud confrontation ends in a tain-tain-fish.
“This isn’t Farjad’s number!” Mum says.
Oopsy!
“Pack your bags and leave,” Farjad says.
Of course, Ummeed still stays in the same house.

The Flirting
Later, AK comes to meet the family. The way he flirts with Ummeed and the way she retaliates was funny, I must admit.
“Huyi Takheer to koi Bais-e-takheer bhi thha” Asad’s words…
I have said this before but Asad’s choice of poetry and the way Ali Safina delivers those lines, ufff… that’s the second best part of this drama.

The Unforgivable About to Happen
After repeated fights with Ummeed has decided to go back home. She forgets her chequebook in the living room. Farjad is meeting some delegates and has categorically asked Ummeed to stay away. How would he react when Ummeed interrupts the meeting? More drama is coming our way.

The Loud Drama
Back at home, Zeenat constanly asks the Pasha brothers to bring Ummeed home. Haya meets Waleed, and the meeting ends in a misunderstanding. Long story short, Pasha brothers question Haya like thaneydaars.
“Mujhe iss shaadi pe koi aitraaz nahin,” Haya says.
And the episode ends.

Review
But, the real standout moment of the episode for me was the look that Farjad gave Ummeed when she wiped the file clean. It was a look that said, “Oh no she didn’t!” And, honestly, I felt that look in my soul.
All in all, episode 8 of Fairy Tale was another entertaining and engaging episode that kept me on the edge of my seat. And, if the rest of the season is anything like this, then I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us next.
So, until next time, Fairy Tale fans, stay tuned and keep those tissues handy. You never know when you might need them!
I have said this before but Asad’s choice of poetry and the way Ali Safina delivers those lines, ufff… that’s the second best part of this drama.
What’s the best part, you ask? Hamza Sohail, that’s who. He is so good. I mean, he is handsome, he is perfect for this role and boy is he a terrific actor. He has made Farjad my fav.
By the way, did anyone else feel that Haya and Mimi talks like… how do I say: kafi naqli aur banawati lehja hai. Do you know what I mean? That been said, the girl who plays Mimi is so pretty. I want to see more of her.
And I want to see more of Farjad.
