PLOT SUMMARY & COMMENTARY

After a huge drama, both families return home. Dadi is still bickering about the entire incident. Everyone is unhappy, Wajdaan’s family for Shumaila and Kashf’s family for her. Zoya is the only exception. She is satisfied and happy.

Rasheda’s taunts remind Aashi of her past with her ex husband Wasiullah. She has survived an abusive relationship and Imtiaz was always greedy so he didn’t allow her to enter the house until she brought Haq e Mehr. Awful man!

I don’t understand why Shumaila is upset with Kashf. She even says that Kashf is jealous of her. Why? What does she get if Shumaila isn’t married? If anything, Shumaila, being her nand l, she would be happy to get rid of her, no?

Kashf’s new dream is that Wajdaan is dancing in the middle of the street. Phupho and bhatiji meet Qaari sahab again to seek his insights about her dreams. He doesn’t say much and also tells her to keep faith in Allah. Qaari Sahab’s assistant Shahbaz is also loyal to Wasiullah. Let’s see how that Wasiullah angle turns out.

Saleem Mairaj and Lubna Aslam both get a diametrically opposite role from their poor and meek personas in Alif. Saleem Mairaj’s beard is funnily fake and his character so far seems caricaturish.

Kashf wants to share her dream with Wajdaan, despite everyone’s insistence, despite the mayhem her dreams have caused. I don’t understand the logic. I hope the future episodes bring some sense into this whole charade.
