Pyar Ke Sadqay | Episode 16

It is time to review the latest episode  of Pyar Ke Sadqay, episode 16, that aired on May 7, 2020.

Under Sarwar’s influence, Abdullah tries to kick Mahjabeen out of her house. Mahjabeen locks the door and refuses to leave. I like this girl. She is resilient.

Sarwar doesn’t know the truth about Mahjabeen’s mistaken pregnancy. Despite his mother suggestions, he cannot stop thinking about Mahjabeen. He is one of the most evil man I have seen on screen. I mean, there are some who look downright evil. But this man, he’s handsome and sophisticated and a charmer. Who would have thought that he is such a creep?

Mahjabeen, stupid Mahjabeen, brokenhearted Mahjabeen, confides in Sarwar. Why? Why did she confide in Sarar of all the people? Sarwar is relieved to hear that Mahjabeen isn’t pregnant, of course. He ogles at Mahjabeen, telling the viewers that something bad is about to happen. Thankfully, nothing happens because Mansoora arrives home just in time.

Abdullah and Mahjabeen are not on talking terms now. So, Mahjabeen complains about it to Mansoora. You go girl! Complain, argue, do what it takes, and take what’s yours. Mansoora doesn’t scold Abdullah, but clears some air. She may hate Mahjabeen’s father, but she does want Abdullah’s marriage to succeed. While they are talkin, Abdullah spills the beans, everything that Sarwar has said to Abdullah. To say that Mansoora was shocked would be an understatement.

Mahjabeen is not the only stupid here. Mansoora confronts Sarwar and tells him that they would have to leave the house if Mahjabeen and Abdullah aren’t happy. Woman, why would you say such a thing to a mean, plotting, evil man?

The apology scene between Abdullah and Mahjabeen is the highligh of this episode – romantic, cute and funny AF. Watch it, please.

Mahjabeen forgives Abdullah on a condition – that he buys her a dress, buys as many as dresses as she wants, as often as he scolds him. Washma gives Mahjabeen another makeover and readies her to attend Shanzey’s wedding. Mahjabeen looks stunning that the shocking pink dress. We are not the only ones stunned. Abdullah is totally smitten when he sees her. The next scene is a slow burn as both the wife and the husband awkwardly smile at each other and hold hands for the first time.

Well… There is a first time for everything. This scene very subtly indicates to us viewers that Abdullah and Mahjabeen consumate their marriage. Things look promising between them but we all know that the next episode will flip it around.

Can I just say how beautiful and talented Atiqa Odho?

This drama makes me think – sex education is important. I like Washma and Mansoora try to give some “lessons” to Mahjabeen.
