Sukoon

The story reveals how Aina’s innocence is taken advantage of, and how Raza’s non-serious behavior has a lasting impact on multiple lives around him.

Sukoon Episode 4 Written Update and Review

Alright, so let’s quickly get to the recap of this episode.

The last episode has ended as Abda overhears Raza’s words:

“It isn’t what it seems like,” Aina says.
“Aunty, this is totally one-sided and I’m to be blamed,” Raza interferes.
“Leave before her father comes home,” Abda says.
“Don’t punish Aina for what I’ve done,” Raza says before leaving, kinda like the last nail in the coffin.

And the drama doesn’t end there. It continues for next several mintues.

Abda still doesn’t trust Aina, and she can’t believe that it’s Raza’s one-sided love story.

“He doesn’t want me to marry Usman,” Aina says. “He had also seen Usman trying to slap me.”
“Why didn’ you tell me about the slap?” Abda asks.
“I told you. Did you listen?” Aima asks.

Abda doesn’t believe that Usman has tried to slap Aina, or asked Aina for a court-marriage. Aima fights Aina’s case with all her might, but Abda isn’t willing to listen. No, no… that’s not all. She kinda forces Aina to take Usman’s call. What kinda mother is she?

It doesn’t help that Raza calls Aina. Long story short, Abda slaps Aina.

Yeah. That.

~

On the other hand, Hamdan tries to convince Raza to stay out of the whole matter. Would Raza listen? No, he wouldn’t. Instead of paying attention to Hamdan’s wise advice, he goes to the college again. Since Aina has taken the day off, he runs into Aima.  Aima begs Raza to stay away from Aina and not ruin her life further.

~

Aina is home alone as Abda has gone to see Masooda. Usman comes to harass her.

Usman: Did you talk to your parents about our marriage.

Aina: If you’re so brave, you talk to them.

Usman: I can drag you now to court and marry you.

(Abda comes back from Masooda’s)

Abda: Who’s stopping you?

Honestly, I hadn’t seen this coming. Abda was shown to be a horrible mother, but she gets her moment of redemption as well. She treats her daughters with gol gappas. I wike it.

~

Aina comes to see Neeli, who has only been a messenger for Raza. Aina refuses to talk to Raza and even begs Hamdan to take Raza back.

All sorted, right?

Nope… Wait for it.

~

There is an explosion in the college. Raza rushes to the college to help Aina. Abda calls Usman to pick up Aina and Aima, but he flatly refuses. Long story short, Raza brings Aina and Aima at the hospital Abda is strangely and pleasantly surprised by Raza’s bravery. Raza also apologizes before leaving for home.

Does this change Abda’s opinion of Raza? I hope it does.

“Ask him to bring his parents,” Abda tells Aina.

Haw! Itna fasht? Mazey.

~

Hamdan brings Raza home. But he doesn’t stay for dinner even though Shanzay insists.

Review

I’ve said this repeatedly, this drama has a painful Badzaat vibe but this episode was quite fast. At least that’s going right for this drama. Would I watch it tomorrow? It depends on how much workload I have.
