Tere Bin | Episode 31

Introduction

Tere Bin is a new drama on HAR PAL GEO (Well, it’s not that new). Here’s a snippet from Geo’s official YouTube channel.

Meerab is an ambitious and beautiful young girl who wants to pursue higher studies. Her entire world revolves around her parents and she believes in them the most. Her strong and confident personality makes her stand against social injustices around her.

On the contrary, Murtasim hails from a powerful and influential family. He respects and values the morals and traditions of his family and refuses to let the family down.

Meerab’s life takes an unexpected turn when she finds out about her family’s decision regarding her and Murtasim’s life. Meerab’s hatred towards Murtasim continues to grow as a family secret from the past resurfaces. Coming from different backgrounds and mindsets, Murtasim begins to realize Meerab’s arrogant behaviour towards him and begins to consider her a challenge for himself. On the other hand, Meerab who is used to living her life on her own terms refuses to accept Murtasim’s family traditions and unnecessary social barriers.

Soon their lives go through a series of emotional sufferings and misunderstandings where it becomes difficult for them to coexist. Despite their hatred towards each other, will Meerab and Murtasim accept their true feelings or will the dynamics of ego and self-respect force them to stay apart?

Tere Bin Episode 31 Written Update and Review

Assalam Alaikum Pakistani drama lovers!

It’s Shabana Mukhtar, and I am back with a review of the latest episode of “Tere Bin.” And let me tell you, it was a mixed bag of emotions. So let’s dive in and explore the highs and lows of episode 31.

My first reaction after watching the episode was: Watch this episode for the first 6 minutes and 40 seconds and drool over Wahaj Ali. OMG! How dashing he looked! And how romantic that scene was between Murtasim and Meerub. Just wow. And these six minutes and forty seconds lure me in to an episode which was mostly disappointing.

Romanceeeee!

Firstly, let’s talk about the opening scene where we saw Murtasim and Meerub being all lovey-dovey. Wahaj Ali looked absolutely dashing, and the scene was romantic. But let’s not get carried away with our emotions because, unfortunately, the rest of the episode was mostly disappointing.

Haya’s Plans

Sabra calls maa Begum to ask for Haya’s naap. Guess who picks up the call on the other side? Haya. Haya pretends to be Salma Begum and asks for Waleed’s number. I rolled my eyes while watching this scene. How did Sabra not recognize the voice? She should know that it’s not Salma Begum on the other side. This team wants us to to believe things that don’t make sense. Remember Salma Begum magically knowing about everything that Haya has ever done? That know-it-all scene, and this pretend-to-be-salma-begum scene was a bit of a letdown and didn’t quite fit in with the show’s plot.

Anywho, so Haya meets Naurez and tells him that she can’t marry him because someone else likes Naurez… Maryam… So, now Haya is trying to hit two birds with one stone-be rid of Naurez and get Maryam married. The story is starting to become a little (a lot) predictable, but let’s see where it goes.

Meeting Maryam’s Beau

Meerub takes Maryam out under the pretence of going out to the parlour. Maa Begum isn’t happy about this but she does allow the two women to go. This scene was quite interesting and showed Meerub’s rebellious nature. Not just that, it shows how well Salma Begum treats her rebel daughter-in-law. Saas ho to aisi!

So, Malik Zubair aka Anas sings praises for Maryam and confesses his undying love for Maryam. Long story short, Meerub isn’t impressed at first. But then Anas pulls out a ring from a pocket and wins over both Meerub and Maryam. Of course, he’s prepared for all the possible scenarios. This scene was a little over-the-top, but Anas’s character did add some depth to the episode. Also, for the first time, I didn’t wince at Agha’s acting. So, nice job, I guess?

Coincidence

Now, it’s time for the coincidences to play a role in moving the story forward. Haya is at the same restaurant. She sees Anas sliding a ring on Maryam’s finger. She captures the moment in her phone, and it’s clear that things are about to get complicated. She will use this as an arsenal, FOR SURE.

Conclusion

Overall, this episode had its ups and downs. While the opening scene was fantastic, the rest of the episode didn’t quite live up to expectations. But let’s see what the show has in store for us in the upcoming episodes. Till then, let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Okay, so now let’s wait for tomorrow.

How you peeps doing?
