Yunhi Episode 20 Written Update & Review
Assalam Alaikum, fellow drama lovers! It’s time for another recap and review of the latest episode of “Yunhi”. And let me tell you, this drama is getting better and better.
After Suraiya is caught while running away, and she blames it all on Kim, everyone retires to their rooms. Kim is upset and then wakes up in the morning and offers Fajr prayers. Dawood affectionately helps her wrap the dupatta properly (which was later still showing some on Kim’s hair, strangely). The prayer scene was very sweet and gentle, loved it.

Much to our surprise, Suraiya Apologizes to Dawood and Kim. Kim forgives Suraiya instantly, I think it was only to force Dawood to forgive his sister, too. Sweet!

Kim and Dawood meet Owais family. The scene had a very tiny humourous line when Kim address Dawood as “David” and…
Kim: Main pyar se ise David kehti hoon.
Pyar se? Ahnnn 🙂
Owais’s siter Uzma and her mother day shitty things to Kim and David and reject the proposal. They blame everything on Suraiya.
Owais comes in much later, when the things are said and heard.
Owais tries to convince Dawood but Kim and Dawood both realize that Owais may not be able to give Suraiya what she deserve, nor give her the respect from his mother and his sister.
On the way back home, Kim and Dawood discuss the reason behind Suraiya’s outrageous decision to run away. As usual, they have differing opinions and both sound right, so right.
Kim: I like honesty in people.
Dawood: Only honesty?
Kim: I will let you know when I notice something else.
Kim and Dawood together make the most enjoyable moments of the drama.

Dada Jaan sets up shar’ii haq-e-maher, knowing full that the same would be applicable when Husna and Daniyal get married. He is so confident that Husna will marry Daniyal.
~
On the day of nikaah, Basharat gets a phone call with the news that the godown is burned down. He tells Raziya and rushes to the godown. Even Iqbal knows about this, but nobody tells Dada Jaan.
I wonder if this “godown burndown” thing is relevant to the story.
~
Kim and Dawood talk to Suraiya. And tell them about what happened at Owais.
Dawood: Owais uss ghar mein tumhein izzat nahin dilwa sakta.
Sadly, it’s true. Suraiya is convinced.
Dawood: I will talk to dada jaan about Hamid. But promise me that you would forget Owais.

I like the pace at which this drama is going. That’s my take on the episode. What did you think of this episode?
