Zanjeerain Episode 7 Written Update and Review
Assalamualaikum!
How are you guys?
Second of all, this episode was the best so far. And first of all, it will have spoilers so if you plan to watch the episode later, stop reading right now.
Two major events happened in this episode. We will discuss the happy one first. Rabiya and Mudassir get nsrried. Mudassir initially waites for Sar Buland to join them for nikaah but Sar Buland did not respond to messages or pick up the calls.
Mudassir’s sister vomits everything about herself and Mudassir in one go. It felt so rushed and unnatural, literally felt like vomiting. Uncontrolled and uncalled for. She gifts Rabiya ammi ke kangan. This cliche of ammi ke kangan is so old. I remember that as long as I have been reading Aanchal stories. How come ammi always has kangan? Why is it always kangan and no other jewellery? How come only heroine gets the kangan even if there are other bahus in the family? My going mind could never understand that. My old mind is not able to understand it, still.
Mudassir gifts Rabiya a laptop and her stoic facade finally breaks.
I like your child-like innocence, stay like this, Mudassir says.
Okay, now to the sad part.
I don’t want to say, “I called it” because… Second of all, it was so predictable, and first of all, it’s nothing to be happy about. Itne log mar gaye.
Yep, Sherdil Khan and everyone with him were killed. And now we have our Michael Corleone…I mean, Sardar Sar Buland Khan.
Torsam, Zafran Khan and their folks are dancing and celebrating. Hayat Khan’s family and qabila is mourning. I couldn’t help but notice a continuity issue. First we see Sar Buland getting the call, then we see all the janazas and folks gathered around, and then Bano goes to announce the news to Bibi Jaan and Noor Bano. Abhi tak unko pata bhi nahin thha aur janaze bhi ready ho gaye? Ya phir woh sirf khali khatole thhe? Top shot mein janaze were different colour chadar but when Bibi Jaan was sitting near it, it was green. Thoda doubt hai.
Anywho, so Sherdil is gone. Bibi Jaan makes Sar Buland and Sohrab promise to avenge the death of Sherdil and Mahgul. This is the turning point in the way Sar Buland thinks. In one of the previous episodes, he said: how come people here are willing to kill for smallest of matters. Now, he promises to do just that. It was no small matter but still… Principle remains the same, right?
This episode had amazing cinematography. Every frame was so beautifully captured, whatever the mood of the episode. Here are some snapshots.
Sherdil and Mahgul on the way…
Sar Buland hugging Bibi Jaan when she asks him for the aforementioned promise of revenge…
Janazas…
And that’s pretty much it. How did you like this episode? Were you just as happy that your predictions were right?
Salaam!
