Qarz-e-Jaan Episode 5 Written Update and Review

Okay, so this is going to be short cuz I kinda forgot to takes notes.
First of all, this was the episode where I saw the first sign of weak writing. I mean “he/she overheard everything” is way too convenient a plot device, isn’t it? For context, here’s what happened: After listening to Maheen’s story, Sana came straight to tell Nashwa. And, the two smart-ass lawyers thought it would be good to talk about it out in the open where anybody, any-damn-body, can overhear them and take corrective actions.
And Bakhtiar does.
But pehle Ammaar ki jo kutt lagi hai, maza aa gaya. Nameer’s finest performance. This dude can play a baddie, an intense-lover and I think his comic timing is also impeccable. We wike him. I think he should do some comedy now, show his comedic prowess.

Burhan: Miss Behzad, har baat mein bahes karna zaroori nahin hota.
That line so aptly describes Nashwa.
  • I’m a lawyer by choice.
  • I will give my best.
  • I only came here to give you this file.

Her heart maybe in the right place, but she does try too hard. Being a senior now, I can spot the over-zealous youngsters. Great performance by Yumna though. I think she delivered on her brief.

Behzad’s barsi, we see men and women gathered and reciting Quran.I liked how realistically the scene was shot. The two brilliant lawyer women discuss Ammaar and Maheen out in the open, in midst of at least fifty-sixty people while Bakhtiar keeps a constant eye on them. Bahot hi genius hain donon. Baari Saheb ne kuch ghalat nahin kaha thha.
And, then, the police comes to arrest Ammaar.
Bakhtiar uses all his resources, and also lies through his teeth to save his son.
Bakhtiar: Ammaar looks after our Lahore operations. He’s there for procurement.
I was like: You’re lying (see picture where he’s yelling the same line at Ammaar). So, that was the episode.
So long.
