Raqaas | Episode 3

About Raqaas

Raqaas is an intense emotional psychological tale that delves into the fragile spaces between love and obsession, freedom and restraint, memory and reality. At its heart lies a world where every relationship carries an unspoken weight, every choice comes with a consequence, and every truth may have another side. As love, family, ambition, trauma, and desire intertwine, Raqaas takes you on a haunting journey where nothing is quite as simple as it appears. Some stories are lived, some are remembered, and some leave you questioning what was ever real? That’s Raqaas!

Raqaas

After a dinner date with Urooj, Fawad confesses his love, but he also understands that he doesn’t want to be in a loveless marriage. He hopes that Uroojn can fall in love with him, but she isn’t even willing to give him a chance. I think its unfair. Fawad is a nice candidate, at least looks-wise. He’s well-dressed. Thaila pahen ke toh nahin ghumta Hamza ki tarah. hehe.

Dilawar threatens Nighat as always, to convince Urooj for Fawad. Later, Urooj is giving attitude to her mother (because that’s the only thing she can do without facing any consequences).

Urooj comes to see Hamza (he was expecting her). She requests him teach her music. He refuses. And then he yells at her. His outbursts are so unexpected. And when he yells camera is not on his face, I guess Sar Buland Khan isn’t comfortable screaming on the camera. Awaz bhi us ki nahin lag rahi thhi.

Naaz comes to talk to Hamza, very subtly reminds him that he was rude to Khairu and Urooj, both.

“Ghusse mein tumhein nahin pata chalta samne mulazim hai ya mehmaan…”

Hamza and Khairu then talk, reminiscing how Khairu would celebrate when Hamza rode bicycle. They “patchup” sort of.

Urooj comes home to see an inquisitive Fawad. Bada hi koi red flag lagna laga hai achanak, especially after learning that he’s only after Urooj’s monies and Dilawar’s binnis.

Urooj’s friend sends a parcel. Ghungroo etc. Bano is so nosy. Saaman khol kar dekh leti hai. Hadh hai bhai.

I don’t like the subject matter and may not watch all the episodes. Abhi toh I have nothing else to watch on Monday.

Review

I don’t like Komal Mir’s styling in this drama. Yesterday, I spent almost two hours investigating something about Miss Veet and got to see Komal’s beginning. She was a Miss Veet contestant, remember?

Why did I do that?

There was also one contestant who had a potty mouth and in a group challenge used some cuss words. Recently, I’ve seen her in some dramas, but when I look up her name, Miss Veet doesn’t come up, some other peagents do.

So, last night, around 2:30 PM, I confirmed that it was her. And the name is…

Roma Michael.

Miss Charm 2023 pageant and Miss Grand International 2024 pageant are credited to her in her wikipedia profile but Miss Veet is never mentioned. Hira Khan, Hira Hussain, Komil Mir nee Komal Sajid; these girls have come from Miss Veet pageant. This has absolutely no bearing on the episode or the review. Just a window into my mind. This is how I spend my nights.

Next episode: Episode 4

Stay tuned for more book reviews.

Until next time, happy reading!
