Raqaas Episode 4 Written Update and Review
Fawad’s Red Flags
So, in yesteday’s episode, Hamza saw the anklets and the sketch of a dancer’s feet wearing ghungroos. He sweetly asks Urooj out for dinner (apparently, it’s okay to go out daily with a guy of dad’s approval?) and then says: dekho meko yeh sab pasand nahin hai. (Red flag, red flag, red flag)
Oh, Urooj lies about both items.
I still think that Fawad is a better candidate than Hamza. Fawad is after Urooj’s money but Hamza has anger issues, and he doesn’t dress so well. bikhre baal, dheele dhaale kapde novels mein achhe lagte hain (waise garmi ke dinon mein main bhi isi tarah 4 size bade kapde pehenna pasand karti hoon) lekin iss drame mein dekhne mein bilkul maza nahin aa raha. Fawad is so sweet and caring when he apologizes to Urooj for not treating her for dinner. He’s in it for the money but he plays the game really really well. Part of the credit goes to the actor. I haven’t seen him before but so far I’m impressed by his performance.
Urooj’s Lies
So, Urooj learns that her parcel has arrived but when asked, Bano refuses (because Bano knows what the parcel has). Next, Dilawar has met profressor Farhat, who opines that Urooj wasn’t that bright a student. Urooj looks uncomfortable, because she has a past: participation in university’s art programs etc. Why did Nighat look all scared? Does she know of Urooj’s participation in university’s art programs?
Hamza’s Red Flags
Urooj doesn’t stop by Hamza’s house despite Hamza’s request (via Khairu). So, what does he do? He comes to his place.
Urooj: Arey bhai, kya kar raha hai? Apne ghar ja.
Hamza: Mere ghar aana
Urooj: Main nahin aaungi
Hamza: Aaogi, main intezaar karunga.
Urooj: (Lagech).
I paraphrase of course. But that was the gist.
Urooj comes to his house, learns about him, and tells him: aap mein artistic soul hai. If I were Hamza, I’d say: achha? moje toh pata hi nahin thha.
The episode ends with Shagufta’s first scene, first flashback.
P.S. My nephew#2 used to say “moje” instead of “mujhe”.
