Recap
The telefilm opens with Ishmal out on the lawn while Shahan surprises her with a pair of earings. Soon, we learn that the earings were stolen, from Shahan’s father. Feroz blames Hammad and Hania.
We learn that Feroz is bedridden but is adamant about certain things. Both women tell their men for batwara. Feroz Khan overhears, he’s not happy about it, obvio. So, to make sure that his sons don’t sell the house after his death, he prepares a will to be buried in a particular corner of the lawn.
And then he dies.
While digging the grave, the sons find a deg full of jewels. Bas, khul gayee qismat, and hence the title.
After getting the monies, the family loses their mind and do stupid stuff, wearing a crown, wiping mouth with 1000 rupee note, speak English incorrectly, show-off their monies. Ishmal rolls her eyes all the time. When she had had enough, she offers to teach them some etiquettes of moving in posh society.
Things happen, and suddenly Hania convinces Shahan to ditch Ishmal for someone settled in the US-Zainee. That girl is a fraud, of course. Ishmal being the smart girl, call the police, and has the family arrested. Long story short, she gets a 3 crore rupees award for helping the police for the found treasure, which is qaum ki amanat. Shahan marries Ishmal, and the family offers dua at the qabr.
