Yunhi Episode 12 Written Update & Review
Assalam Alaikum, fellow drama lovers! It’s time for another recap and review of the latest episode of “Yunhi”. And let me tell you, this one was a rollercoaster of confusions.
First of all, let’s talk about Atif and Sajjad, Dawood’s friends who talk about Dawood and Kim. It was so stereotypical that I didn’t even roll my eyes.
- Dawood would to go to US with Kim.
- Dawood should show “roab” to Kim to keep the upper hand in marriage.
I was like, seriously?
~
As he has already planned, Naveed goes to the airport to go back to America while Kim is taken to Dawood’s room. We see him in the cab, talking to Zulfi, who reprimands about this silly decision.
“Yeh tum thik nahin kar rahe,” Zulfi says.
“Niyat ki achhai Amal ki burai ko dhanp deti hai,”;Naveed says.
Back home, Kim is now in Dawood’s room. Dawood might be reluctant to marry Kim but he has accepted this relation with all his heart. I mean, he only held Kim by the shoulder because he wanted her to calm down about her missing stuff, but let’s face it. His face says it all. He expects his to be a traditional marriage, you know, with riwayati suhaag raat… Oops! That sounds so scandalous. I’m a terrible terrible person to say that 😂
Jokes aside, full marks to Bilal for that scene.
Now, as it can’t be a traditional wedding night, we need some drama to keep things going. So, we see two things. For one, Kim’s laptop and passport etc is missing and she claims that Atif and Sajjad must have taken it. She insists on going to the police station to file a report. Secondly, Basharat gets a heartburn and the whole family is gathered around him. Dawood being the doctor keeps quiet while Kim suggests that Basharat might be having a heart attack and should be rushed to the hospital. Kim is so relentless for things that are right in her head. She continuously whines about her things. I was like, itna kya qimti thha? Abba bhag gaye tere…
Speaking of Naveed’s absence, there was some drama around that as well.
Alright, so Kim has set the expectations straight that Dawood shouldn’t even think of coming near her because this is all an experiment. The next morning, she wakes up Dawood to go to the police station. Dawood is like, itni subah.
Hayen?
Dude, you were shown to be the guy who gets up for Fajr prayers. Aaj nahin padhi? I know, I know. The makers might have chosen to not shown that he did indeed offer Fajr that morning but it reminded me of a joke Mufti saheb told once. It was actually a question:
Q: Mufti saheb, can I skip Fajr prayers the next day of my marriage?
A: No, you must offer the prayers, that too with congregation. When you come back after Fajr, your wife will be waiting for you inshallah.
He said more, but you get the drift. Prayers are must. Get your priorities straight.
Oh, on a side note, Naveed has given 50 thousand dollars to Basharat. I’m sure that will come handy in future. Also, Mudassar wants Husna to marry Daniyal, for reasons only he understands. Daniyal also calls Husna to apologize for his past behaviour but Husna is like: chal bhag …
And that was the episode. I don’t know why but this drama feels slow. Maybe this the background music or lighting, but it gives old world vibe. Anyone else?
