Set in the beautiful, green mountains, Zanjeerain is a powerful story about love, greed, and the secrets we keep. In this world, everyone has something to hide—some are stuck following old rules, others are hungry for power, and some are just trying to protect the people they love. It is a big, exciting drama where every choice matters and every character is struggling to find their way. Enter the world of Zanjeerain, a rare and emotional journey where hearts and empires are put to test.

Cast and Characters
Roughly in the order of appearance
Sahar Hashmi as Sher Bano
Engaged to Sar Buland, obsessed with him, not my fav thing in a female character.
I don’t like Sahar Hashmi in general. I’ll rant about it in a separate post, but we will not let our dislike for Sahar become a problem.

Danyal Zafar as Sar Buland Hayat Khan

Simi Raheel
Woman who reads “life”

Tayyab
Usman Javed as Torsam aka Tarzan aka Tharki Guy
Sherdil’s step brother

Zarsanga
Zafran Khan’s sister. Alif Khan’s second wife, came in his nikaah as khoon-baha. Torsam’s mother, passed away when giving birth. She be like: aise auchhe ladke ki amma banne se achha chali chalti hoon.
Hassan Shah as Zumarth
Let’s call him Jameel for now. He was Jameel, Karamat’s right-hand man in Neem. Here, he’s Torsam’s right-hand man.
P.S. Neem was also Shahzad Kashmiri’s direction. I’m seeing some connection here. Also, just checked his work, and I’ve seen a lot of it, more than I had realized. Mental note to post about it later. This post hardly seems like the right place for it.

Adnan Siddiqui as Zafran Khan

Torsam’s Cousin
Zafran’s bhatiji, likes Torsam, obviously. Looks a lot like Sohrab’s wife.

The OST is terrible. The “zanjeerain, zanjeerain” didn’t impress me at all. I find it quite annoying , to be honest. Thoda melodious hona thha.
Anywho, I will update the list when I watch the episodes and more characters enter the scene. Episode 1 review is coming soon, stay tuned.
