Zanjeerain Episode 16 Written Update and Review
Okay, so after being jealous and suspicious seeing Rabiya talking to Sar Buland, Bano joins the conversation. Rabiya wants her phone, wants to go to her family. Sar Buland says no, I can’t let you do that.
Then, Sar Buland asks Rabiya who killed Mudassir. Rabiya says no, I can’t tell you that.
Long story short, Rabiya calls Tayyab from Bano’s phone (mamu and Tayyab are worried sick). And when she breaks the news over phone, I almost cried. How difficult it is to break such a news to anyone? How difficult it is to break the news over phone? But again, I think it happens more often than we think.
I like that every time Sar Buland talks to Rabiya, his gaze is always lowered.
Coming back to the story, Rabiya’s constant “meri wajah se Mudassir ki jaan gayi” is getting to my nerves. On one side, this girl was such a believer in Allah, she used to say, Allah is there to protect us from people like Torsam Khan. On the other hand, she questions and is upset about what happened. It’s basic imaan, right? I’m not saying this just for Rabiya, this is for all muslims who blame things wrongly. what about the very basic of imaan that we recite in Imaan e Mufassal? I have some write up somewhere on this topic but let me talk about it briefly here:
This is the most common debating point when is siblings get together. I strongly feel that these days, because of tableegh and all, most people do day and follow the first five, and the last one. Where we falter is on the sixth point: the taqdeer of good and bad is from Allah…
That is where we need to improve. But I’ll try to do a more detailed write up later.
Anywho, coming back to the show…
Zafran Khan reiterated that he knows killing Sherdil wasn’t Torsam’s job, and he admired the secret killer.
Shirin steals a chain and pendant from Noor bhabhi and lies through her teeth when questioned.
Apparently, four months have passed already and Rabiya’s iddat is about to be complete. Torsam is still in Islamabad, Zumard keeps telling Torsam Khan to return to gaon but Torsam is adamant. He’s more like murghe ki ek taang, says the same thing again and again
We see Sohrab training Omar Daraz for archery. Very subtle sentences like “Sherdil couldn’t get the hang of it but I did”, and “Sardar Omar Daraz” confirm our suspicions that he was involved in killing Sherdil and others.
In a flashback, we see how Sar Buland broke down to see the dead bodies (very good performance by Danny Z) and Sohrab was also weeping. Guilt?
Back to present, Bano learns that Sar Buland is taking medicines for a ton of things. And she decides to leave everything to Sohrab and move to shaher.
Hmmm… Who is behind the killings? Sohrab alone or Bano is an accomplice as well?
Salaam!
