Ooooh, Sar Buland is onto Sohrab. Either that, or he’s suspicious about some shady business going on in the haveli. But I’m getting ahead of myself. Let’s do it properly.

Rabiya snooping around

Remember the lovey-dovey talk Rabiya overheard between Shirin and Sohrab? She wants to know more so when working in the kitchen, she casually leads a seemingly innocent conversation to a question: Shirin, you must be having a phone to talk to your mangetar. Shirin refuses profusely, making Rabiya more suspicious. Suspicious and determined.

When playing with Omer Daraz, Sar Buland hits a shot and the ball flies to the backyard of haveli. Looking for the lost ball, Sar Buland heard voices, of the past and senses something surreal. Sadly, Omer Daraz comes back with the ball and the scene ends. Bahot lapaye scene ko unnecessarily, in my opinion.

We see a overtly-sweet scene with Bibi Jaan, Sar Buland and Rabiya.

But the scene served one purpose: let Sohrab lash out at Sar Buland more openly.

Sohrab blames Bano’s death on Sar Buland and her “affair” with Zarmala…and that’s putting it mildly, I can’t use the actual words he said. I mean, I guess I can but I don’t want to. Sar Buland is mighty pissed at this and then he uses his sardari to his advantage as he retaliates.

1. I’m a sardar, you pledged your loyalty to me. Doing my character assassination is not acceptable.
2. Stop saying that Bano committed suicide.
3. I won’t hear a bad word about me or Zarmala
4. Something bad happened the night Bano disappeared. And it happened inside haveli, not outside.
5. Someone has planted the evidence (dupatta, earing) to misguide us about Bano.
6. Qila hamesha andar se kamzor padta hai. Dararein aati hain.

And Sohrab is like… He’s controlling his anger.

Which he then takes out on shooting practice. That was the scene in the teaser last week. There, Zargoon also brings the news about Rabiya, who she really is. For now, Sohrab wants to keep it a secret.

Sar Buland has some guests coming over and wants to arrange for continental food. Rabiya offers that she’ll prepare the meal…because why not. She has been showing off her cooking chops since the beginning.

Now, Shirin and Sohrab meet again. We see a flashback of how they used Zumarth to kill Sherdil and how they will try that same tactics to kill Sar Buland when he goes to shikargaah.

There was one very nicely-executed scene between Noor and Bibi Jaan as Noor confides about Sohrab’s changed ways. Bibi Jaan consoles her bahu, not knowing that Sohrab is the one who killed her older son and is planning to kill the younger one as well.

And the review wouldn’t be complete without another stunning visual.
