I couldn’t help but notice that when Shirin started walking up the strairs, dry leaves crumbled under her feet, but once she was up, the stairs were clean, the path she walked through was cleaned up.

I like the transition from one woman in black to another woman in black. Noor talks to Sohrab, one last time. Sohrab still insists that he was doing this for Noor, Bano and Umar Daraz.

I like the room where Sohrab is kept till the morning, gave very The Housemaid vibe, the room in the attic where Millie is kept.

Very tender scenes between Gul Mehr and Torsam. I repat, this guy is a murderer but I guess we’re going to let it slide.

The Impending Doom

Biji Jaan is heartbroken these days.

Biji Jaan: Ek ghao bharta nahin ki dusra lag jata hai.

Bano ki qabr ab pakki kar di gayi hai jab ki Allah ne kachhi khabron aur pakki qabron se mana kiya hai.

Sar Buland meets Sohrab Khan, the two brothers talk, and we get an insight into Sohrab Khan’s state of mind: disturbed, disoriented.

Sar Buland Khan doesn’t want to kill Sohrab, of course. A very emotional (and way too long scene) between Rabiya and Sar Buland shows us his state of mind.

And the rest of the night Bibi Jaan, Sar Buland, Noor and Sohrab reminisce old times. Chilling! The cast of younger ones is so on-point. I mena, just for one scene, they have hired actors who look like the grown-up versions. Hats off. Mehnat ki hai to tareef to banti hai.

The episode ends as Sohrab hears Bano’s voice: Lala?

This drama is like a magnet, it pulls me. The story is written well but executed extremely well. In this episode, I couldn’t decide who’s the best performer but at the end I’d say Raza Ali Abid wins, hands down. He’s evil but he’s also kinda vulnerable, right?
