Zanjeerain Episode 38 Written Update and Review

Alright, second last episode, finally.

Btw, Sajal jo chillayi hai last episode mein: mujhe meri zindagi wapas de. us ki awaz hi phat gayi. mujhe pata nahin kyun hansi aayi thhi.

So, Torsam is going to surrender himself. I found it weird that Sar Buland led the convoy inside the police station. Back home, Gul Mehr is sitting on musalla and praying.

The police officer asks all the right question: if Torsam is under pressure, mentally stable etc, but Torsam is arrested.

Bibi Jaan consoled Gul Mehr, promising a reduced sentence and all. On the other hand, Sar Buland apologizes for what Torsam did.

Rabiya is teaching Omar Daraz how to plant and take care of them. Omar Daraz asks Rabiya: aap wapas aayengi?

But Rabiya does not reply.

Later, Sar Buland reads Amjad Islam Amjad’s poem to Rabiya.

zindagī ke maile meñ ḳhvāhishoñ ke rele meñ
tum se kyā kaheñ jānāñ is qadar jhamele meñ

vaqt kī ravānī hai baḳht kī girānī hai
saḳht be-zamīnī hai saḳht lā-makānī hai

hijr ke samundar meñ
taḳht aur taḳhte kī ek hī kahānī hai

tum ko jo sunānī hai
baat go zarā sī hai

baat umr-bhar kī hai

Rabiya is like: you promised you’d let me go. Now, let me go.
Badi hi koi ehsaan faramosh nikli bhai yeh toh?

Sar Buland Khan: Mujhe mera waada yaad hai.

So, under the pretext of “going to see mamu and bhai”, Rabiya leaves.

The bird flying away just as Rabiya’s car pulls away was a nice touch.

Parting Thought

Danny Z should pout less.

Review

This episode was quite underwhelming.

Salaam!
