Episode 3: Coke Studio Season 11

Disclaimer: This review is an opinion of a music listener. I have no musical background or technical expertise. If anybody disagrees with anything in this post… well, they will have to live with it. I can’t help them 🙂

First and foremost, I apologize for late review. I was on vacation and was travelling yesterday. I, therefore, could not view or review the episode.

Roye Roye

Momina Mustehsan and Sahir Ali Bagga are back to coke studio. This is a ballad. It reminds a lot of Nawazishen from season 9. I am quite a fan of Momina and she impressed me yet again. She looks fabulous. This has nothing to do with the review. But, she has lost weight and it feels right to acknowledge that. She is pretty and now looks even better.

Sahir ALi Bagga, in my , performed one notch better than her. He has high, powerful, and smooth voice. I particularly like the high pitch section. Brilliant!

Rating: 4/5 stars.

Allah Karesi

The winning duo of Season 10 – Sab Maya Hai, Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi and Sanwal Esakhelvi, are back with this song. And the effect is for us to cherish. This was a relatively small composition. I wished it was longer for it was amazing.

Dil chhota na kar ve dholna

Rating: 4/5 stars.

Piya Ghar Aya

Fareed Ayaz, Abu Muhammad Qawwal and Brothers, who performed Jawab Shikwa in episode one are back with another Qawwali.

While the lyrics was good, and I am quite fond of qawwali genre, this one didn’t impress me. For almost thirteen minutes, the wow factor was missing for me.

Rating: 1.5/5 stars.

Fourth song is yet to come.

My favourite from all three episodes is Ghoom Charakhra and Roye Roye now.

What did you guys think of third episode?  Please do leave comments.

Happy weekend to all!
