Yep, I am back with one of these.

I discovered this song sometime last week. Calling it a discovery would be wrong, because it was YouTube’s amazing algorithm that suggested this song.

Although the song is supremely romantic, the lyrics have a sufi undertone and the qawwali like composition instantly attracted me to the song.

Nadia Afgan (Shahana Tayi from Suno Chanda) has directed this video. I. is so beautifully shot, it draws you in, to their world; and you cannot help but feel curious about those characters.

The music is composed by Soch band and Sehar Gul Khan’s voice will touch your heart. I must admit Pakistan’s music scene is great. Almost every singer has a distinct voice, unlike the lot here.

Anyways, let’s get back to the video. There are 5 girls and 3 girls, if I recall correctly and they are dressed in same colour for each portion. When one couple switches with other, it takes a moment to notice the difference. It has intrigued me, enough, and I might just watch the drama. If the OST is shot this beautifully, the drama must be a masterpiece.

I watched it 2-3 times, until yesterday. And, this morning, I couldn’t get it out of my head. Try it, I bet you’d love it too.
