Dil Pe Dastak | Episode 1

In the unlikeliest of places, amidst subtle tiffs, Saad and Sarah find love blooming. Despite their initial doubts, their hearts gravitate towards each other, weaving a bond stronger than any disagreement. As they navigate through the uncertainties of emotions, love find its way, deepening their connection with each passing moment.

And it has nothing to do with Dastak Mere Dil Pe, the Urdu-dubbed turkish drama.

Dil Pe Dastak Episode 1 Written Update and Review

The Intro

We see Saad at the gym doing weights watching. Muscled up man with envy, and then later he meets a girl, ‘baebie’, hehe.
And we see Sarah doing mediation enforcing positive thoughts but fails to keep the train of thoughts on track when it comes to her family.
Baebie’s four brothers surround them at the restaurant without warning and demand to see Saad’s parents, right smack in the middle of a restaurant. So, Saad makes a call.
Sarah’s mother sees no right time or opportunity to show her “ladke ka profile” but Sarah pays no heed and asks her brother Jaani to drive her.

The Not Meet-Cute

You guessed it right. Sarah helps Saad out of that weird situation, which, in my opinion, wasn’t a situation Saad couldn’t have handled himself.
Saad: Muft ki museebat kisey buri lagti hai?
Jaani watches Saad and Sarah together, and we can all see that he’s suspicious. By the way, they are also neighbours.

Others

Shayera Naazo is burning something as she writes poetry.
Yun Umr Guzar Gayi Teri Yaad Ke Saharey
Ghain Se Ghubarey, Fay Se Fawarey
Bhai waah! Mukarraar Irshad.
And then we meet Saad’s family who is just as crazy as Sarah, and they are also neighbours.
Saad keeps praising the girls in the office when he comes, especially Sidra.  I can sense a subplot there.
The episode ends as Kiran’s four brothers come to Saad’s house.

Review

To be honest, this episode was not bad, but I’m not mighty impressed. It might be a repetition, but I had enough of Aena Khan last week in last Ramzan and had to skip through her scenes. Watching her in a lead role would be tough, very very tough. Also, although I like Khaqan Shahnawaz, I think he isn’t suitable for the role. I mean he is so chitta that the expressions are lost on his pretty face and his performance comes across as one tone.
