Dil Wali Gali Mein | Episode 10

Recap

I will keep the recap short.

Mujji wants to know what transpired that day and asks Fayeza. Fayeza sends Mujji a video. The teacher who shot the video is fired, and strangely unperturbed.

Mujji leaves the house and all the teachers resign at once.

Khadeeja: tum ne mere liye apna ghar chhor diya?

Mujji: apne liye

Hadh hoti hai khushfehmi ki…

Best line

Ishtiyaq to Durdana: don’t think like Tamkenat.

Review

Did anyone notice how Tamkenat keeps addressing her mami as Lubna? That’s still okay because she’s a villain. Our own dear heroine keeps saying “uski maan”, “tumhari maan” to address her phuphi and now her mother-in-law. Tameez tehzeeb gayi shopping karne.

If I were to rank the characters of this series…

  1. Ishtiyaq is the best character in this series, obviously.
  2. Khadeeja is the worst, Kukki and Lubna come a close second.
  3. Tamkenat and Durdana we are not even counting because they are clearly the villains since beginning.

I don’t like how Sajal keeps sprinkling the lines with yaar, especially when talking to her father. It sounds odd and like her, instead of the character she’s playing.

I also didn’t like her laying on the stomach.

From previous episode

There was one thing I forgot to note in the previous episode: Khadeeja’s conversation with her father about why she chose Mujji. Her response: because other proposals weren’t good enough. If I remember correctly, in the first episode, Kukki asked the same question. Her response: because he forgot all about the tiff between our mothers, he took beating for me, he begged others to make my assignments (eyeroll for miss-i-am-bba-and-too-qualified-to-teach-at-your-school).

All in all, not to happy about this drama. But this is still much better than the other HUM TV Ramzan special: My Dear Cinderella. At least the performances are good, and I don’t cringe when the FMC says her lines.
