Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum: Episode 4 – Recap & Review
Emergency dulha, double wedding drama, and a side of sass

Episode 4 of Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum is full of emotional chaos, rushed decisions, and some surprisingly funny moments. While the tone remains serious for the most part, there’s enough spice to keep you hooked – especially when Rubab enters the scene like she owns the world and immediately starts treating Adeel like trash.

Episode 4 Recap: Two Weddings and a Sherwani

The episode opens with the aftermath of Sharjeena’s proposal to Mustafa. He’s stunned, but seeing how broken and helpless she looks – and the tense situation around them – he agrees. It’s not romantic or ideal, but it’s a decision made to save face in front of society.

He is shocked himself.

And later, in his room, he’s still ruminating over it.

Mustafa’s mother isn’t thrilled with this sudden decision. Her disapproval is clear: mujh se poochhe bina haan keh di, but it feels a bit forced. We get it – she wanted the best for her son, but her reaction seems a little too cold given the circumstances. She was ashamed of seeing Sharjeena’s family after what Adeel did, and now that everyone is trying to fix things, uss ne rona daal diya hai. Seems forced, but Bushra Ansari pulls it off. Her pursed lips and arched brows, jali kati saas personified.

Mustafa, the emergency dulha, gears up for the nikaah. Waqas, his brother-in-law, steps in to lend him a sherwani so he doesn’t look like a random guest at his own wedding. The whole thing is rushed, emotional, and a little awkward. And oh so funny.

The nikaah and rukhsati happen quietly. There’s no celebration, just an air of damage control. You can feel how strange and sudden everything is. Mustafa’s expression stays numb throughout, while Sharjeena tries to stay composed.

Cut to Adeel and Rubab, who also get married around the same time (in typical drama style). But unlike the quiet tension of Sharjeena and Mustafa’s wedding, this one’s just straight-up messy. At their post-nikaah party, Rubab immediately starts treating Adeel like he’s her assistant, not her husband. She’s rude, dismissive, and it’s clear who’s going to be wearing the pants in that relationship. It was actually a bit fun to watch Adeel, who was full of himself earlier, get a taste of what he probably deserves.

The rukhsati is as emotional as could be. Mustafa watches, in a haze, as Sharjeena’s family bids goodbye to both daughters.

I guess fun begins now?

Episode 4 Review: Serious Decisions & Petty Payback

This episode was a mix of heavy and hilarious. Sharjeena and Mustafa’s sudden marriage brought all the emotions, especially from Sharjeena’s side. Hania Aamir nails the numb, helpless bride look – you can almost feel how emotionally drained she is. Fahad Mustafa plays the quiet hero well here, saying yes when no one else could have, without making it about him.

The whole “emergency dulha” bit – while sad – also had a weirdly charming undertone. The borrowed sherwani, Waqas stepping in, the rushed nikaah… it all gave the episode a very real, imperfect, desi feel.

The Rubab-Adeel track was short but juicy. Rubab’s cold behaviour towards Adeel gave viewers some comic relief and poetic justice. For a guy who ditched Sharjeena without a second thought, Adeel getting served at his own wedding was oddly satisfying.

Best Moment of the Episode

Rubab’s mini meltdown during the wedding party takes the crown. Her dismissive behaviour, her expressions, the way she ignores Adeel with every act—it was sharp, awkward, and hilarious. Adeel’s confused and awkward face? Just lovely! I’m not a good person. I derive pleasure from fictional characters’ suffering, alright?

Final Thoughts

Episode 4 gives us two weddings, but neither is happy. While one feels like damage control, the other is a preview of a toxic mess in the making. The episode balances emotion and humour really well. Mustafa proves he’s made of solid stuff, and Rubab proves that karma doesn’t always wait till the end of the story.

Looking forward to how Sharjeena and Mustafa’s new life begins—and how long Adeel lasts under Rubab’s rule.

I’d particularly like to point out Sharjeena’s little speech to his dad when she recalled how she was taught to be protective of her younger sisters. I’m not the eldest nor did my father ever asked me to be brave for the younger siblings. I’m still protective of them. It’s installed in our system by Allah, I guess?

Alright, so long.
