Winter Love Episode 8 Written Update and Review

Okay.

So that was something.

It’s been half an hour since I finished watching the episode and I have very little to say. Should I post now? Should I wait till tomorrow?

Here’s the recap, my two cents on this episodes and…

Mushk’s profile got a match, of a certain Fateh Khaqan, a lawyer and reportedly from a respectable family. That’s the extent of our information we have on him, and his mother who stood to attention when talking to Mashal over phone. She was literally just a salute away from the scene being a parade of sorts. So, Mushk is meeting someone.

Hayat also got a match, of a certain Zoha (or was it Zoya?). Hayat’s classmate, used to visit his place, family knows her already and is happy with the match. So, Hayat is also meeting someone.

At the same place.

The symmetry still fails to impress me.

Mushk couldn’t download Fateh’s profile and Hayat also for some reason thinks that they were there to see each other. Conversation begins, “some” sparks try to fly as they try to get to know each other better.

This dup switching from “aap” to “tum” to “aap” is seriously confusing. The director tried to incorporate the same in a conversation as well but honestly didn’t help.

I couldn’t help but feel annoyed, and think:

“the last rom-com that got me this annoyed was Ek Jhooti Kahani”.

And that:

the director seems inexperienced.

And then checked the credit. Danish Nawaz has directed this? Danish Bhai, kya ho gaya? Chupke Chupke and this?

Aap ne mujhe bahot mayoos kiya hai.

Hopefully, by tomorrow, my post on this subject will be live. Read that for more insights into how my crazy brain works.

Salaam!
