Dr. Bahu explores the theme of quiet control hidden behind progressive appearances. In a respected family of doctors, their youngest non-doctor son is married to a doctor—adding another accomplished daughter-in-law to a household where women are not allowed to work.
When the youngest daughter-in-law enters this world, she begins to challenge the unspoken rules, subtly shifting power and exposing buried hypocrisies.

Doctor Bahu Episode 30 Written Update and Review
I started the episode hoping it’s 2nd last. It’s not, but I’m hoping it is going to end next week.
This episode was all about showing how toxic Salman is. I may have mentioned elsewhere how much I hate Salman, not just in today’s episode, just in general. The only thing that worked in his favour was that he was kind to Waqas. And that’s all. The way he argues with everybody and just gets to insulting them (Saquib, Waqas, Taha in that test drive episode early-on, Dr Ahmad and Dr Rubina during taziyat scene, even Faizan in this episode). Sach hai, being wealthy doesn’t mean you have the manners. This guy is so insensitive and selfish.
Saniya is not necessarily my favourite person, but she is so torn between what she wants and what is expected of her. She finally hands over the resignation despite two voices of reason (Mina and Rubina) telling her to choose wisely. When she gets sick and is hospitalized,
Salman is like:
In ki wajah se Saniya ki yeh halat huyi hai.
Mina, unarguably the best character of this drama, snaps at Salman:
Stop blaming things on others.
I guess this drama did a fine job of showing how, while hating his father, Salman became just like his father. From storytelling point-of-view, very well done, but from an obseving member of the society who sees such injustice happen to women in married life, I ache, I want to scream, I want to scratch the faces of some people. Don’t worry, I don’t do that, but I want to.
If this drama is heading in the direction I think it is, then we will see the ending like Ishqiya: Rumi loses her child and separates from her toxic husband, who, after marriage, seemed like a sweet husband. Alright, enough said.
