Sirf Shabana presents the story of an educated, independent yet deeply sensitive young woman who longs for a simple but powerful right: to have her own name stand alone, without being defined by a father or a husband. Her journey unfolds as a courageous fight against societal norms, legal barriers, and emotional struggles, as she strives to claim an identity that truly belongs to her.

Sirf Shabana Episode 23 Written Update and Review
Bilal
At one event, Bilal is working two shifts straight, to make more money for the trials. Jahanzeb gently reprimands Bilal and asks to take care of himself. Jahanzeb so far is a good person. It makes me happy because otherwise, only shitty things happen to main characters.
Jamal and his family is also invited at the event. Aiman/Ayesha (Jamal’s wife, I mix up her name every time) is talking to some snob aunties like herself. Jamal’s son finds Bilal and is happy to see him. Jamal’s wife claims Bilal was caretaker. Bilal sets the records straight: Main in ka devar hoon.
The snob aunties walk away (what was the point of that?). Jamal’s wife is upset, and starts to say shitty things, but Bilal gives a shut up call to his bhabhi. Bilal is no more Bawla.
I liked that he stood up for himself and for Nusrat. Absolutely loved this track of the drama.
Kabeer
Kabeer spends the day weeping, reliving the revelation, being angry, and finally learning his lessons from a young boy working at a garage. It was very small scene but I liked how they showed a very young boy saving the burger for his younger sister and not eating it himself. It’s the small moments like these that make this drama bearable. The whole Kabeer track, whether it is Dadi’s manipulations, Tauqeer’s judgemental conclusions, or Kabeer’s priviledged assumptions that Shabana would fall in love with him on the spot; is very difficult to sit through.
Shabana
She’s getting hate from all over. From Bilal advising Shabana focus on getting married this time, to Kabeer accused her of being a gold-digger, and Salaar systematically brainwashing Kabeer and Yumna against Shabana, Shabana is really at the center of it all and yet she stands resolutely.
Ahmad calls Shabana for some urgent work. When she’s waiting outside for a cab, Ahmad comes there, because he wants to talk to her about his friend’s delayed consignment. Shabana helps her, like any responsible employee would, and I like the details of the scene (Shabana asking for consignment number, agreeing to change the shipping address etc). The question, however, is: why did Ahmad MEET Shabana? Could he not talk over phone? This meeting was so unnecessary. It serves on purpose: help Salaar take a photo. I can’t stress how much I hate this. Thoda reasonable hota toh chal jata.
Shabana is now seeing through Kabeer’s facade of kindness. Inside, he’s insecure and toxic. I’m just waiting for her to call things off with Kabeer.
Salaar
Salaar catches Shabana and Ahmad talking, clicks a picture and sends to Yumna and Kabeer. Now, both are fuming with anger.
