Sunday is probably the shortest day of the week, isn’t it? It’s like
آئے بھی وہ چلے بھی گئے وہ مثالِ برق
دل ہی میں حوصلے دلِ شیدا کے رہ گئے
Out of curiosity, I read the explanation of this ishqiya verse and the tashreeh surprisingly fit my feelings about Sunday.
This beautiful verse is from a ghazal by the famous Urdu poet Hasrat Mohani.
Meaning: The poet complains to his beloved that the beloved came to us like a flash of lightning and left immediately. This short moment of meeting was so short that all the desires and wishes of my crazy heart remained in my heart and I could not even tell him my feelings openly.
Yep, my feelings exactly.
