Muharram 19, 1448 AH
For the first time since Ramzan, I was able to fall asleep the moment I hit the bed and woke up after 4-5 hours, fresh rejuvenated. It is moments like this that make special dear diary moment for me.
In other news, I read an Urdu book today, titled “Khari mazdoori Chaukha Daam” by Dr Bano Sartaj. It is #34 Lok KahaniyaaN Series by the author. A little background, about two years ago, we ordered a library bookset from a publisher, I think it had~2000 books in 30000 rupees. It seemed like a great deal. It still is, but the only problem is that all the books are for kids, even those that claim to be for adults. also, almost all books collecitons of short stories and not long stories that I like. Once in a blue blue moon, I pick up something from that shelf, sample a story, and continue if I like the first one. This was one such book.
I can’t review the book on Goodreads because not all Urdu books are on it. Knowing me, you know how lazy I am. I just don’t have the time to add 2000 books to Goodreads library just so I can review them, especially not when I find it difficult to sit in front of laptop for more than ten minutes. Allah meri takleef ko jald-az-jald achha kar de. Ameen.
