About Aik Mohabbat Aur
Aik Mohabbat Aur is a story of Khushbakht, a strong and determined ACP officer who has already seen the painful side of love. After a love marriage that couldn’t survive the test of time, she returns to her parents home with her young daughter and the scars of a broken relationship. Instead of comfort, she finds herself living under constant judgment, where her presence is often seen as a burden rather than a daughter seeking support. These experiences slowly make her lose faith in love and companionship.
On the other side is Haroon, A principled journalist who believes in truth and depth rather than superficial choices. Pressured by his mother to settle down, He struggles to find someone who truly connects with his heart and values. His life takes an unexpected turn when a case brings him face to face with ACP Khushbakht.
While working around the same investigation, Haroon is drawn to Khushbakht’s courage, dignity and the silent strength with which she carries her past. For Haroon, it becomes love but for Khushbakht, love is a chapter she believes has already ended. Now begins Haroon’s emotional journey to break the walls around Khushbakht’s heart and prove that sometimes life gives a second chance.

Aik Mohabbat Aur Episode 17 Written Recap and Review
Aik Mohabbat Aur
I skipped through Faris and Maham scenes. I have no interest in seeing if there’s a redemption arc, I don’t want my blood pressure to spike because of fictional characters, I have enough of drama going on in real life.
The mohabbat ki aankh micholi continued; Khushbakht has clearly started to care for her husband but wouldn’t stop calling him as “Mr Malik”. It’s a good thing Pari has learned to call her mother “mohtarma”, and also good that Pari finally has some lines. In earlier episodes, they’d just show her nod or just shake her head. Bachhi ne haan aur na ke alawa kuch seekha hi nahin thha.
Sonia wants to meet Haroon to talk about “Khushi”. It was made to be too mysterious and aakhri mein tain tain fish. Read that book by the way, most of it is absurdly funny. Sonia claims to have moved on and has best interest of Haroon and Khushi at heart but it sounds like a load of BS. Why so clingy? But Hajra Yamin makes Sonia Murtaza adorable. That yellow kurta she wore, aafat. PS: I don’t remember colour names with specifics like mustard yellow or sunshine yellow or lemon yellow. For me, yellow is yellow. If I ever write about colours mostly to show the characters’ outfits, I google.
On side note, while fast-forwarding some scenes, I notice someone defending Ahad: “some people say that Ahad is overacting but they should see…” and the comment truncated there. I’d have to open the comment to read completely which I had no intention of doing. I mean… Ahad has been directed to do overact, there’s no doubt about it.
Is Ahad overacting? absolutely.
Does he look dashing? Absolutely.
Moving on to the bits I liked about this episode (spoilers ahead so stop now, you’re been warned): Razi slapping Faris (long overdue if you ask me and Haroon), and that forehead kiss… very well executed, didn’t linger for far too long, and Haroon did ask Pari to look away. Sweet. But it hurts me to see Haroon’s affection is mostly one-sided. It also hurts me to see that Khushi is shown to be like a very immature teenage girl rather than a grown-ass officer. In today’s episode, she reminded me of Aleezah Sikandar (just finished reading Amarbel yesterday, no I didn’t cry this time). Hands aching now because of holding the phone for far too long. Allah hafiz.
