Aap Ki Izzat Episode 1 Written Update and Review
Bet Aur Tey
Bey se Beena, Tey se Tabish…Beena writes Pey aur Tey on Tabish’s hand when he’s fast asleep, and next morning he calls her silly.
And that’s a good introduction to the married couple central to this drama. Tabish andBeena, who married out of love, now have two kids, and the love is seen only inBeena’s eyes. He doesn’t listen to her, doesn’t treat her well but occasionally “pretends” to care, and it’s so obvious to us viewers. In a few scenes, it was nicely established that Tabish has changed,Beena has not.
I like how Ahsan Khan and Urwa Hocane are styled. In flashback scenes, they both look young and vavicious. In present-day scenes, both look mature, adhed-umar ke.
It’s been three weeks, so I’ll only list the key events I remember. I remember it all, but only listing a few.
Amma and Beena
Amma: BuzurgoN ki dua mein bahot taseer hoti hai.
Beena: Isi liye toh main aap ki itni khidmat karti hoon.
Amma: Yeh aadat buri hai tumhari, jata deti ho.
Beena: Main chai garam kar ke laati hoon.
Me: Amma, kidhar bhi nahin chalne dena aap ne?
Beena and Her Daughter
Beena’s daughter is quite spoilt and doesn’t treat her mother well, kinda reminded me of English Vinglish. Tabish whole-heartedly supports her daughter’s rebel ways and blames it all on Peeno. We seeBeena quietly suffering but also not letting it “get to her”.
Beena and Gossip
One of mulazma is absent, soBeena asks, only to hear a bunch of gossip. The gossip, however, is a foreshadowing of sorts.
“She ran away with a younger guy because she wasn’t happy with her marriage.”
Hmmm… very interesting.
Tabish and Mufi
Tabish meets a Mufti, who runs a madarasa or something (details are hazy at this point). Mufti saheb appreciates Tabish’s financial aides etc, and then Tabish comes to his point:
Main doosri shaadi karna chahta hoon, iss silsiley mein Rehmani chahiye.
Cat is out of the bag. Even if it was not, it was made soooo clear what he’s upto, no?
Review
These days, everywhere I go, I see Umera Ahmed. This, and then Dar-e-Nijaat. Honestly, when I watched this, I didn’t know it was penned by Umera Ahmed.
The first thought was that Mawra’s Winter Love ended and Urwa’s drama replaced it. The last thought was, it’s slow.
Next episode: Episode 1
Stay tuned for more reviews. Until next time, be a nice person!
