Dear Diary | 1448 AH | Day 55

Safar 26, 1448 AH

I spent a considerable amount of money on something I am most certainly going to regret. To be honest, I began regretting the moment I made the payment. But desperate times call for desperate measures, y’know.

Aside from that, usual Monday mood swings, wanted to snort at something stupid junior manager said, and wanted to punch the director because he found fault in something near-perfect and something that has gotten the blessings from people above director’s pay grade. But hey, that’s what Mondays are supposed to be like. It never settles on anything less than pure BS.

Unrelated note: have severe back pain because I am sleeping on a yoga mat and not my usual bed. Oh, how I miss my bed and the five-pillow arrangement. Yaha pe ek yoga mat as bed, ek laptop bag as a pillow. I’m too old to weep and Say: mujhe anmmi ke paas jana hai but that’s literally the only thought in my head since we arrived in Pune Wednesday morning. Allah mujhe iss self-imposed gharibi wali zindagi se jaldi nikale, ameen.

NOTE: This is part of “write one post every day for a year” challenge.
