Yep. That’s what I gathered from my yesterday’s “talk”. And a few more.

There is no need to be honest (because people can’t tolerate honesty).

If you want to be honest, do that with your family (but don’t we say that workplace is like our second home and colleagues are like our extended family? So there is a difference between preach and deed).

Be artificial if need be, but do smile at people from higher management (cuz they can screw your growth, if you don’t).

So much for openness and making this world a better place … errrr… making this a great place to work.
