One of my resolutions this year was simple: write more—and, hopefully, publish more.
My last proper novel, So Out of My League, was published on 1 February 2025. As its anniversary comes around, it feels like the right moment to mark the occasion not with a reread, but with something new. I did publish two shorts stories, but for all intents and purposes, let’s not count them.
This time, it isn’t a full-length novel.
It’s a short novella—quiet, contained, slice-of-life story, and close to the kind of stories I enjoy writing the most. The kind that unfolds over conversations, chance meetings, and small moments that end up meaning more than expected.
It’s a reminder to myself, as much as to readers, that writing doesn’t always have to be big to be honest. Sometimes, a shorter story carries just as much heart.
Releasing 1-Feb-2026.
