Alright, let’s begin the review of the latest episode of Sabaat (episode 24). It aired on September 27, 2020.
Anaya is still home. Has she left job? Is it okay to disappear from work because you’re expecting? She’s pretending to be happy so Aziz feels better and Aziz pretends to be well so his family feels better. A lot of pretence and it hurts because it happens in real life as well. We bury our Problems to make our families happy.
Meeral learns the truth about Haris’ supposed lectureship. She confronts him, yells at him (oh so loud), threatens him. Haris’ response is meek at best. I had hoped Haris would bring the change we want to see in Meeral. I think I have said this before but I will repeat: Meeral has no point of return, no redemption. Nothing she does will ever make me empathize with her.
Mrs Fareed is scared that the shit her family is doing would cause them trouble.
Aziz passes away, we all knew that. Anaya doesn’t let anyone know but Atif the BBC informs Meeral. Meeral still thinks that what she had done is wrong. I don’t think she ever will.
