Drama Review | Qissa Meherbano Ka | Episode 12

Let’s review the latest episode of Qissa Meherbano Ka. It’s based on Fakhra Jabeen’s short story Ujalon Ki Basti. You can read the story here, and my review is here. The drama is quite different from the story itself, so don’t be disheartened by my review even if it has some spoilers.

Qissa Meherbano Ka Episode 12 Written Review

Asghar Ali Mehtab is no more. The real story of the novel begins now. Murad wants only one thing from Mehrbano – her monies.

Mawra is such a talented actress. I used to wonder why she chose this drama. If she is as strong as Munni Khala in the novel, she has chosen the right script. But so far, she comes across as a very dependent person.

Zahreeli chachi is still the same. She still curses Mehrbano. She should be happy that Mehrbano is doing seemingly okay in her marital life. But she’s so bitter. Mehran voices my thoughts in this episode.

Aap aise halaat mein kaise itni karwi baatein kar leti hain? Mehran asks.

Murad is already after his mission. He asks Noor about the papers, then searches in professor’s room, then he asks Mehrbano. Itna desperate, ufff!

Mehrbano can’t take Noor with her, so she talks to khadoos chachi, even begs her to keep Noor with her. Zahreeli chachi talks like she always does much to Mehrbano’s dismay.

Noor overhears the conversation. That dejected look on Noor’s face broke my heart. Poor gorl. Nobody listens to her, nobody asks her how she feels. She is upset with Mehrbano and rightly so. But Noor doesn’t know just how confused Mehrbano is.

Murad has the perfect solution for Noor’s problem: marrying Mehran.

Ab kya hoga?
