Let’s review the latest episode of Qissa Meherbano Ka. It’s based on Fakhra Jabeen’s short story Ujalon Ki Basti. You can read the story here, and my review is here. The drama is quite different from the story itself, so don’t be disheartened by my review even if it has some spoilers.
I missed watching the 11th episode because I was busy attending a wedding. I saved it for today because binging is fun.
Qissa Meherbano Ka Episode 11 Written Review
So, Acchhe Miyan alongwith khadoos aunty and Fari set up Mehrbano so Murad would leave Mehrbano. I don’t understand her. Murad has already told her that all he wants from Mehrbano is her properties and monies. Even so, khadoos aunty is plotting against Mehrbano. Kuch to bhi ho raha hai. Doesn’t she want Murad to be rid of all his debt.
I loved how Murad trusted Mehrbano, and how he beat Acchhe Miyan. He is still manipulating Mehrbano, and he changes his stance the way a chameleon changes its colour. He talks to Asghar Ali Mehtab again, and threatens that he would leave Mehrbano if the shops aren’t handed over to him.
Asghar Ali Mehtab writes off his properties to Ayaz, Mehrbano and Noor. He hands over the papers to Mehran because he trusts nobody else. In the novel, it was the heroine who handed the papers to Wamiq.
Oh, and Mehrbano is expecting. When did that happen? Mehrbano hd promised Fari that she would never let Murad come near. Did she lie? Or did something happen before that? Let me go back and re-watch a few episodes. *Watching old episodes of Mehrbano and then about three hours of The office* It might have been the night Murad brought Mehrbano home. There is no other explanation. Very subtle, like it.
The episode ends as Asghar Ali Mehtab remembers his family. We know what that look means.
