Drama Review | Qissa Meherbano Ka | Episode 22

Let’s review the latest episode of Qissa Meherbano Ka. It’s based on Fakhra Jabeen’s short story Ujalon Ki Basti. You can read the story here, and my review is here. The drama is quite different from the story itself, so don’t be disheartened by my review even if it has some spoilers.

A little recap of episode 21

Meherbano has finally escaped Murad’s house, but the police is looking for her. Things don’t look good for her.

Qissa Meherbano Ka Episode 22 Written Review

So, Murad and his family have filed an FIR against Meherbano and Mehran. The police is smart enough to realize that Murad’s case isn’t what it seems to be.

Maria’s parents are invited over for dinner and that’s when police comes to arrest Mehran. Ouch! This is so unfair. Mehran was only trying to help Meherbano.

Meherbano is not at peace, either. She is on high alert, even having nightmares that police is arresting her. Sadly, her son Ibrahim isn’t keeping well, either.

Fari is still hiding what Murad has done to her. Her brother is trying to understand what has gone wrong, but Fari keeps mum. Why is she quiet? Why doesn’t she take a stand? She isn’t weak and alone like Mehrbano. She is rich and powerful. She can do something to put Murad behind the bars, right? At least I expect her to do that.

Review

This episode was such a drag. Nothing happened except Mehran’s arrest. Fari isn’t saying anything, Murad and his mother are talking rubbish as they always do, and Zehreeli chachi is spilling poison as usual. Mehran is finally bailed out by his father-in-law-not-to-be. Yep, the wedding is called off. I think this drama should end now. Nothing left to drag it further.
