So, episode 20 is here. It has been here for a while. I guess I was looking at the wrong place. Let’s finish it quickly.
For a refresher course, check old episodes. Since I barely recall anything except for a few character names, here is a recap:
Maala Episode 20 Recap & Review Thought Dump
Suzain’s reality is out in the open and now she’s playing her game openly, by pitting the brothers against each other. For her, unfortunately, Mahir knows the game well. Woh kya kehte hain ki iss khel ka purana khiladi hai.
Maala has started renovating the bakery with help of a kind investor, wink wink.
Mahir learns about Zara and what she did to het engaged to him. That sequence was so fun to read. Mahir se ek dam don wali vibe aayi.
As for the rest of the episode, the chase for Aliyan, the search for Badr is in full swings. The confrontation goes back and forth, back and forth. Maala and Mahir try every trick in the book to ask Aliyan Bade’s whereabouts. Lekin majaal hai jo kambakht ke kaan pe juun bhi rengi ho. Mahir goes to the extreme and even kidnaps Aliyan.
Still nothing.
I like what Nemrah is doing. When the villain is so powerful, the victory of protagonists feel more triumphant.
If Mahir is triumphant, that is. I have a nagging feeling in my head ever since that episode near the cottage where Ziyad meets Mahir and says: tumhari maut mere hathon se hogi. And then he used the accessories to frame Mahir for a murder. What was it? Episode 11? So basically I have a feeling that our robotic hero would soon be marhoom. I would have that but I have a kinda feeling that this story isn’t going to have a happily ever after. We have all known that ever since Maala married Ziyad.
Oh, and he proposes, like propose for real this time. Itna khula romance kam hi dikhta hai Nemrah ke novels mein, that may also be an indication that there is no happily ever after.
But at the same time I wish Nemrah proves us all wrong.
Won’t have to wait for long to find out. Now, on to the last episode.
P.S. I didn’t know that 19 episodes had been published and until last week, didn’t know that the novel has ended. I guessed that explains the surge of traffic to my blog for Maala review. Thanks to my li’l sis who told me that I need to find the last two episodes elsewhere and not on Nemrah’s official Facebook page.
Alright, enough said.
