Character Profile: Captain Sajid Hameed

Note: This is a work in progress page and will be updated as I re-read and review every story. I would like to put a disclaimer. This is only my perception of the lovely and charming character of Captain Hameed. Don’t be offended by my opinion. Cheers!

This post will list everything we know about Captain Sajid Hameed.

1. Dilaer Mujrim (دلير مجرم)

This story introduces us to Sergeant Hameed. He is about 24, a bit of show off, and a bit feminine. He likes to dress up well.

2. Khaufnaak Jungle (خوناک جنگل) (The Terrifying Jungle) – 1952

This story establishes Hameed as a perpetual love-struck young man who cannot seem to control his tongue when women are around. Faridi, on the contrary, seems to derive pleasure from surrounding himself with danger.

3. Aurat Farosh ka Qatil (عورت فروش کا قاتل) (The Killer of Women-Merchant) – 1952

Hameed comes across as a jealous lover who cannot see his girlfriend with another man. Faridi teases him about his backward and conservative mentality. We also find out, that once angered, Hameed is capable of doing the most absurd things. For instance, in this story, he dances with a very old anglo-indian woman
