Before We Begin
I have been meaning to watch Sen Çal Kapımı for almost a year. The problem is, I found a website which had listed all key events and the detailed article spoiled it for me. I mean, this drama goes through some pretty bizarre twists and turns. Besides, this drama has two seasons. It is never a good idea. I watched Emergency Pyar, and they could not maintain the contniuity of the two seasons. All I’m saying is, I have my apprehensions about this dizi.
But then, last week, I saw a few Urdu dubbed episodes of the drama, and I thought–why not?
Alright, with the basics established, let get to the episode.
Sen Çal Kapımı Episode 8 Written Review & Update
Part 8.1
- So, Serkan asks Eda to go.
- Eda is furious, and so are her friends. Eda confides in Ceren, and Ceren lends her support to Eda both as a friend and as lawyer. Later, she vows to return the engagement ring to Serkan. Eda tells Melo, and Melo tells Ayfer.
- Eyden tells Serkan how much she hated that Serkan humiliated Eda. Serkan remembers Eda whether it’s her gift the coffee mug (it shows red colour, that means he’s in love) or when he is out for a walk with Sirius.
- Seyfi is mad at Serkan for what he did to Eda. He refuses to help Serkan.
- Eda meets Serkan but he doesn’t want to take the ring back. He is so in love but he doesn’t accept it and he gives the lamest excuse ever-people will talk about it.
- Ayfer talks to Serkan while Eyden talks to Eda. I like how both scenes overlapped.
- On the fun side, Piril and Ceren argue over who would drop Engin while engin takes a cab. It was quite fun.
- Now, Eda, Melo, Ceren and Fifi put their heads together
- Ferit knows about Selin and Serkan. He is worried that Ceren would find about his involvement in the whole scandal. Kaan records Ferit’s conversation.
- Serkan loses his temper at his employees, tearing away paintings and all; the old Serkan is back. And nobody likes him. Now, they are in a soup as they need Eda for fixing their patent situation.
- Will Serkan talk to Eda? I doubt it but I can’t wait for Eda to find out who stole the design. And I can’t wait to see Serkan apologizing to Eda.
Part 8.2
- Eda and Serkan are still head to head. Serkan is unwilling to relent, and Eda is determined to find out who stole the designs.
- Eyden feels lonely and calls Ertikan. Ertikan dismisses Eyden but then call off everything and goes home to be with his wife. So sweet!
- Selin and Ceren meets the journalist behind leaking the contract info. Selin bribes the journalist. Ceren is too smart, though. I think she will figure out Selin’s involvement soon.
Part 8.3
The sweetest scene was between Ertikan and Eyden. There is still love between them.
~
Serkan and Eda argue again. Eda doesn’t want to stay another minute kn Serkan’s office but he forces her to work on her designs and reports or whatnot. Let’s face it, he wants Eda around and these are just excuses.
~
Fifi finds out that it was a guy who gave the photos to the workshop. I’m sure they will find out about Kaan’s involvement soon. Ceren and Eda also realize that Selin must have bribed journalist.
~
Melo brings Kaan home to meet Ayfer. Fifi and Erdem also arrive just in time. Erdem confronts Kaan, funny scene as he tries to be all tough and macho. Fifi is too sweet with Kaan, and I just know that she’s onto him. This girl is so smart, I love her. After the dinner, Ayfer categorically tells Melo that Kaan is fake. Wow! Aunty is also smart.
~
Ferit is upset about Selin’s attention to Serkan. He follows Selin, even calls her to see if she tells the truth; she doesn’t. Somehow, Eda is also there. Ferit and Eda overhear Serkan and Selin’s conversation. Serkan and Selin talk about things being logical and illogical. Some serious talk… I don’t like it. Later, Eds and Ferit talk. Ferit admits about telling Kaan. Now, would Eda tell Serkan about this?
~
Eda puts her report in Serkan’s car, the look on her face is enough to break your heart. Serkan and Eda run into each other at the park. “I’m right here with you, I missed you, too, I will see you later,” these are the things that Eda tells Sirius. Or is she?
~~~
Part 8.4
The girls put two and two together, finally. They conclude that it was all Kaan’s doing, and they vow to fix things and soon. Melo apologizes to Eda for bringing in Kaan into their lives. Sweet scene…
~
Eda and Ayfer talk, and Ayfer reminds Eda of being in love. Yet again, we see Eda cry and boy does she look pretty.
~
Can you what I see? Seyfi asks.
What? Serkan is confused.
A lonely man! Seyfi says.
Burn! Dayam!!!
~
Ertikan meets Serkan, that’s quite shocking. The father-son duo dynamics I don’t understand much. But Ertikan tells Serkan that who’s at fault-Serkan. Ertikan also tells that Eda is bringing in a lot of positive changes in their lives, but Serkan is still adamant. I find it cute and annoying at the same time.
~
Serkan meets Eda at flower shop and asks her to come back but she refuses flatly.
“Your work was a masterpiece. You should finish what you started,” Serkan says.
“I’ll finish and leave—and throw the evidence of my innocence in your face!” Eda responds.
It hurts me to see them apart. So much!
~
On the fun side, Ceren sets up an exhibition date between Piril and Engin. Ceren is quite the genius.
~
Also, the great Fifi takes the proofs from Kaan’s phone. So, now, the girls have the proof. Eda brings the proof to Serkan but he admits of trusting Eda. It took so much courage for him to admit that. Sadly, it’s too little, too late. However, seeing Serkan hurting was so painful. This man just can admit that he loves Eda.
~
Eda hands Serkan the evidence that Kaan was the patent thief. Serkan: “I don’t need the evidence. I believe you. …It has nothing to do with you. It’s me.” Ah! It took so much courage for him to admit that. Great scene!
Review
Side note: Serkan speaking English was awesome!
Another side note: I like how Eda’s pigtail moves when she walks.
This episode was so so good. I loved it. I wish there was more but there’s tomorrow, Allah willing…
