Aap Ki Izzat Episode 2 Written Update and Review
Prep for Dawat
Tabish brings Beena to a jewellery shop, to buy her an anniversary present. This is just a facade to show off his wealth, and has NOTHING to do with how Beena feels. He buys a 1.5 Cr ka set, Beena isn’t happy.
To prepare for the dawat, Beena goes for vegetable shopping. You’d think she has a ton of people do that for her, but I think buying fruits and vegetables is therapeautic for her as well (as for me). She had a fixed shop she visits, and the shopkeeper Behraam leaves his other customers to attend to Beena. Beena never takes the baqaya amount back, even gives some money to Behraam occasionally. This time, she gives 2000 for Behraam’s mother.
The driver and guard discuss Beena when she’s gone because she leaves the dedh karor ki jewellery behind. They discuss stealing the set and running off. Good-natured fun, I guess? Not reading too much into it except that this is how drivers and guards talk to each other when working for rich people. Later, the driver also tells Beena that she pays too much to Behraam for vegetables etc, but she dismisses him. Does she like Behraam? I don’t think so but she has a soft corner about him, the way you do when you’ve been a regular customer at once place.
The Dawat
Tabish has invited the political “gang” for dawat, including the other woman.

- Fareeda’s cousin Naaz
The way Naaz greets Tabish, Beena knows, she knows something’s wrong.
Naaz is jealous, Beena is suspicious. Chaudhary comes across as a makholiye who laughs at everything (and he has two wives, dono zinda 😛 )
Post Dawat
Tabish meets Maa Ji and tells her:
I want to marry Naaz, Tabish tells his mother.
Maa Ji was so visibly shocked. The way Maa Ji reacted to “I want to marry Naaz” that won my heart. She doesn’t like Beena very much and keeps criticizing her but she was hurt for Beena, and that’s… that comes from good writing.
The Confrontation
Tabish doesn’t talk to Beena properly but takes Naaz’s call and all chirpy. Beena isn’t stupid. She confronts Tabish about Naaz. In response, Tabish pushes Beena.
