PS: I’m not happy with the screenshot but it was the best I could do. I haven’t brought my headphones here (I’m in Pune) and can’t watch the usual way (on my android phone) so had to watch on laptop and it wasn’t behaving nicely.
A new drama by Umera Ahmed. That’s all I want to say.

Dar-e-Nijaat Episode 3 Written Update And Review
Confrontation
The face of jealousy

Abu Bakar’s Decision
“Agli baar main aap ko drop kar ke chala jaunga. I don’t want them to be uncomfortable because of me,” Abu Bakar says.
Khushbakht tries to defend Zaryab, and Abu Bakar sweetly tells his mother, mujhe bura nahin laga.
The Other Version
The girls and Shamsa think that they did right, and Kishwar Jahan is wrong for scolding them about dance etc. Haseeb talks to his mother, learns the OG version, and convinces Kishwar Jahan to come to the dinner table. They let go of the tiff though, and the whole family is grinning. Heartwarming.
Later, though, Haseeb asks Shamsa to teach the girls to be a bit more “careful” of what they do and say; Shamsa retaliates by saying: hijabi bana deti hoon… as if hijabi is a bad thing. I know what’s being portrayed, but some parts make me uncomfortable.
Zamil’s Family
They discuss engagement announcement, and Zamil gets upset when he hears of “other proposals”. He snaps at his parents first, but the proposal talk has triggered him. Yeh banda possessive hai. And bahot easily trigger ho jata hai.
He stalks Abu Bakar and gets depressed when he sees Harvard against Abu Bakar’s name. The teardrop… I think he’s playing another version of whats-his-name? Ammar Bakhtiar in Qarz-e-Jaan, but more complex, and hopefully less criminal. Very very good acting. Well done, Nameer.
The Presentation
Abu Bakar’s boss is friends with Minister Asad Malik (again Asad Azhar, second time in the same day).He is impressed by Abu Bakar, very very impressed, matlab nazar hi nahin hat rahi thhi uss ki.
Jealousy Session #3
The whole time at the gym, Zamil talks about Abu Bakar. Zamil has decided to repeat and improve his grades, thanks to his self-imposed rivalry with Abu Bakar.
Nafeesa and Zamil’s sister are worried, both thinking that Zamil needs a therapist.
How close Zamil and Zaryab were, first in the first jealousy scene, and then at the gym, it made me uncomfortable. I guess that was the point?
Sibling Bond
Zaryab is feeling very sisterly for Faryal, who’s getting married soon. Faryal, however, tells Zaryab something serious about Zamil: he’s into drugs. Dadi overhears.
Ha, haye!
Another fantastic episode, and I’m yet to write episode 1 post.
