Doctor Bahu | Episode 14

Dr. Bahu explores the theme of quiet control hidden behind progressive appearances. In a respected family of doctors, their youngest non-doctor son is married to a doctor—adding another accomplished daughter-in-law to a household where women are not allowed to work.

When the youngest daughter-in-law enters this world, she begins to challenge the unspoken rules, subtly shifting power and exposing buried hypocrisies.

Doctor Bahu Episode 14 Written Update and Review

Shahnawaz is so toxic and like a typical manager, he doesn’t shy away from using the tactic where no matter what the subordinates say or do, they always lose. Because manager has the privilege to say shitty things and take shitty decisions.

First, he forced Sania to skip the interview and enjoy the privileges of being Dr Shahnawaz ki bahu. Then, when catering is messed up, he tells Sania that “the interview is setup for 8 am tomorrow”, because Sania wanted to be selected on merit.

Sania’s interview goes well but Dr Shahnawaz ruins it by claiming the interview was rigged. Yeh abba, seriously, makes my blood boil.

Sumaira’s engagment is finally off, and Zainab is unwell. Riyaz calls Sania, and Shahnawaz offers to drive Sania there. At Sania’s home, he’s a perfect gentleman and super nice. I know, sounded fishy but I was not hyperventilating while watching him so that was good.

Now, he’s trying to setup Sumaira with Dr Asad. Dr Asad is…not a good person, obviously because he works with Dr Shahnawaz and shares the same ethics. Sania comes across a patient who can’t afford the fee and both doctors just flip out.

Dr Shahnawaz: Sania needs to be punished.

Faryal is already trying to create problems in Salman’s married life. I mean, sure she was allegedly worries about Salman’s wounds or whatever (she claims this when Salman confronts her. By the way, for a guy who claimed to not like confrontation, Salman is awfully frequent and good at confrontation) but did she have to text Salman in the middle of the night?

The best part of this episode was Salman calling Sania “selfish”. I mean, not in as many words but that’s what he meant. And it is true. Sania is selfish, makes everything about her. I liked that it was called out.
