Meray Humnasheen

Meray Humnasheen is a mesmerizing narrative encapsulating the struggle between aspiring dreams, hopes and greed for power.

Khajista is a smart, intelligent girl who belongs to a conservative and traditional family that hails from mountainous areas. Her passion to become a doctor stems from her childhood trauma when she lost her mother early on in life. To revolutionize healthcare services, Khajista is filled with hopes and dreams. On the other hand, Khajista’s cousin Darakhzai is a hot-headed and arrogant man whose backward thinking makes him insecure about Khajista’s higher studies and wishes to keep her under his control.

Coming from an educated and well-off family, Hadi is in his final year of medical school and his composed demeanour makes him highly likeable amongst his batch mates. Studying in the same college, Khajista and Hadi’s first encounter leaves them with mixed feelings for each other.

In a dream of becoming a doctor, will Khajista be able to overcome all the challenges? With constant pressure from her family particularly Darakhzai, will Khajista be able to fulfil her dreams or will she remain caught in the dilemma of love and dreams?

Meray Humnasheen Episode 03 Written Update and Review

Okay, so this episode clarifies a couple of things for us.

Darakhzai is Quite a Character

Darakhzai plays loud music on stereo and dances near Khajista while she’s trying to study for her entrance exams. After a verbal spat, Khajista goes inside her room. Now, he starts chopping woods. He is like a little kid who is using silly tactics to get Khajista’s attention.

Later, we see him at a dargaah “hil hil ke” praying for Khajista’s failure. It was so funny. Even funnier was the fact that a guy comes to request him: “mere liye bhi dua kar dein.” Hehe!

Main PahaRoN Ki Beti HooN

Amroz Khan is quite encouraging of Khajista, but he disapproves of the “open” culture at the college. To this, Khajista has an apt reply.

Khajista: They are representing their culture. Main pahaRoN ki beti hoon. Main apni jagah se nahin hilungi.

Bhai waah! Kya baat kahi hai bachhi ne.

She also convinces Amroz to do some shopping for Shanzay. She’s so nice. Shanzay is plotting against her, and she is shopping for her bhabhi. Sweet, isn’t she?

Do Dil Mil Rahe Hain…

Khajista runs into Dr Haadi and asks him for directions. Later, after Amroz and her are done shopping at the mall, she spots Dr Haadi and rushes to him to ask if the results are out. This alerts Ayema and Amroz alike. Amroz calls for Khajista while Haadi stares at a distance.

Seriously? Itni jaldi pyar ho gaya? Abhi to Ayema ke liye haan ki thhi bhai…

Sabika Talks to Haadi

Haadi’s reaction to Ayema’s proposal wasn’t clear, right? We weren’t alone. Sabika also feels that Haadi probably agreed under pressure. To this, Haadi shows his concern about Ayema.

Haadi: Did someone ask Ayema what she wants?

Sabika:  Sobia will ask her. We are asking our “son”.

Good point, aunty ji.

But I still don’t know if Haadi likes Ayema or just agreeing to his parents’ choice. As for Ayema, her actions speak louder than words that she likes Haadi. How could Haadi not know? For a doctor, he ain’t too smart, just saying 😀

Shanzay’s Malice Against Khajista

Seriously, what does she have against Khajista? She is always spitting poison against Khajista, even tries to instigate Darakhzai. Will this ever have any impact? Not in recent future, because Khajista will go to the city for medical education for sure. Nahin to love story kaise banegi? *wink wink*

Review

Several things to note, before I forget…

  • Hiba Bukhari, uff… ladki hai haseen.
  • Syed Jibran is the best thing to look at in this drama. That says a lot in a drama with so many good lookin’ people…
  • Ahsan Khan, Hiba Bukhari and Momina Iqbal, their accent is so thick that it sounds fake. Hath haula rakhein, please… again, credit to Syed Jibran who’s accent is quite neutral.
  • Haris Waheed as angry young man is brilliant.

This episode wasn’t as interesting as the first one. It was quite underwhelming, really.

So long!
