Meray Humnasheen

Meray Humnasheen is a mesmerizing narrative encapsulating the struggle between aspiring dreams, hopes and greed for power.

Khajista is a smart, intelligent girl who belongs to a conservative and traditional family that hails from mountainous areas. Her passion to become a doctor stems from her childhood trauma when she lost her mother early on in life. To revolutionize healthcare services, Khajista is filled with hopes and dreams. On the other hand, Khajista’s cousin Darakhzai is a hot-headed and arrogant man whose backward thinking makes him insecure about Khajista’s higher studies and wishes to keep her under his control.

Coming from an educated and well-off family, Hadi is in his final year of medical school and his composed demeanour makes him highly likeable amongst his batch mates. Studying in the same college, Khajista and Hadi’s first encounter leaves them with mixed feelings for each other.

In a dream of becoming a doctor, will Khajista be able to overcome all the challenges? With constant pressure from her family particularly Darakhzai, will Khajista be able to fulfil her dreams or will she remain caught in the dilemma of love and dreams?

Meray Humnasheen Episode 06 Written Update and Review

Okay, so this episode clarifies a couple of things for us.

Let the ragging begin

Aima and two of her friends barge into Khajista’s room. They ask the three roommates to vacate the room. Only Khajista is unwilling to leave the room. I never get the reason behind this ragging. Thank goodness, I never had to face any such situation. I also don’t like that they are showing ragging on screen.

Anywho!

The warden interferes, and that’s how the ragging ends. I like how Khajista dealt with the whole ragging situation. No, scratch that, I loved it. Also, Hiba Bukhari… stunning…

Khajista and Darakhzai’s chemistry, ufff!

Darakhzai calls Khajista to…you know… take haal chaal. The way Khajista says “Darakhzai, tummm?” it was so sweet, even a hint of sensuality in it. Or maybe just me.

Darakhzai is worried for Khajista, for real.

“Chalo, ayat-ul-kursi parho 11 baar,” Darakhzai tells Khajista.

And then he disconnects the call. What is more sweet and surprising is that Khajista obeys him.

This scene was the best scene of this drama, ever.

Hassan bumps into Khajista

I told you in episode 5’s review, Hassan and Khajista will be a thing, and I’m still standing by my opinion/prediction.

Hadi ragging Khajista , I HATED!

Hadi takes Khajista’s file, the same file for which Khajista argued with Hassan. The ragging scene was so annoying, partly because I hate ragging. The only saving grace of this scene was that Khajista was as badass as could be. I also loved how thankful Bia was to see Khajista alright.

I had underestimated Khajista. I’m beginning to like her, and Darakhzai, both.

~~~
This drama has such good looking cast. From Ahsan Khan to Syed Jibran, from Momina Iqbal to Hiba Bukhari, from Haris Waheed to Shahzad Shaikh, from Farhan Ali Agha to Salma Hassan, sab kitne sohne lagte hain.
I’ve mixed feelings about this drama so far.
So long!
